I honestly just think bloggers and critics inevitably realized her album, and she, wasn't as bad as they thought they were and pulled the feminist card to justify their dislike for her. "Well, her album is doing well and people love her even after we completely trashed her, but have you noticed she is ANTI-FEMINIST?!"

I know it's a bit of an unpopular opinion but I just have really never been able to get into "Diet Mtn Dew". I think it might have something to do with me being so happy to get the album and skipping that one because the beginning just didn't grab me, and ever since then I just haven't really listened to it a lot. I like the demo version more. As far as I am concerned that song isn't even on BTD.

That was actually REALLY awesome. It wasn't too distracting either; it fit in perfectly. And that was from a really fuzzy sounding standpoint, but it still was awesome. I can't wait to hear that song in high quality.

We should keep in mind though we have like twenty seconds of each song....or horrible quality extended snippets. You guys are acting like it's been out for a year. If that would have been done for "Born To Die" you probably would have been saying the same thing. You just cannot physically judge a song from twenty seconds of it. The song and twenty seconds of the song are like two completely different things. And listening to it in high quality and in full? Just waaaaait!

It is impossible to judge an entire song from 10 or 20 second snippets, so I have completely refrained from doing so. You guys really shouldn't already judge an EP that hasn't came out yet though, don't want to fall prey to the expectancy effect. I don't think "Ride" is as terrible as people are making it out to be, but I do think it could have been a wee bit better. I am waiting until I can listen to the EP for a few weeks in full before making any judgements. On a few albums a song I hated to begin with became my favorite, and songs I liked a lot became average. It takes a lot of listening to fully absorb a song, let alone an album in full. You have to listen to the flow, the progression, the lyrics. No one should be saying it is the worst or best album yet.

Probably "Smarty" and it's still a decent song, I just find it really easy to skip it.

She is one of those few people who still looks flawless when not all glitzed and glammed. I love it.
