I wasn't expecting her to win in the big four categories but I thought she would at least win with alternative performance, that's crazy

I'd love Cat Power to be on the album, been listening to her lately she's amazing and it would come full circle for Lana, after all Cat inspired her to go for deeper vocals in her early career 

She's gonna tease the country direction even more with her 2024 grammy appearance, remember the old stylist she posted on instagram a few months back ? She was asking him to put a horse on her back I think. But honestly I didn't expect her to go that route, at least for an album full of new songs, I guess we'll see.

Does anyone else hear this? We're all such audiophiles here, I'm constantly amazed at the number of things different members are able to pick out, from annoying sounds to clicks and different instruments in the arrangements. 

For me it was more the case on Blue Banisters, especially on the songs Beautiful and Arcadia, her high notes really annoy me on those ones. I have no issue with the ones on Ocean Blvd though, the last "God if you're near me..." on Grandfather is one of my favorite moments on the record. 

I feared Margaret to be my least fav but it's actually a really good song imo, it does feel more like a taylor song than a lana song to me, but I love the melodies, love jack on it, love the spoken part and the instrumentals. Maybe I'll get tired of it at some point idk.

she could've scrapped sweet for the screamo song. honestly that would've made it an almost perfect album for me. 

 

the only things I dont like about this album:
sweet is entirely boring & pointless imo

Margaret im not too big a fan of but I think it'll grow on me
fishtail is weird. I am not loving it at ALL but im living for the production choices. hope it grows on me, but some of the lyrics are just corny imo
Taco Truck goes too hard into the VB thing, should loop back into TT verse at the end. 

basically, add a final verse to TT, remove sweet... and the album is like a 9/10 for me easily.

Nah I agree with miss Greatest on this one, the piano on the leaked songs is infinitely better than anything we've heard on NFR--no more tinny/basic piano tunes.

NFR has Venice Bitch, but the leaked songs so far are richer, they're more intricate and the lyricism isn't giving vagabond poet from the valley who years for the tourlyfe.

are you deaf? do you not hear the orchestra with the strings and brass in the background?
the songs that have leaked have tons of instruments

 

listen to the leaks if you want but get out of lanaboards pleaze! it's gonna be annoying to have hundreds of posts about the songs that are not out yet for three weeks...

You're right, I meant that since she's singing about Jack's lover it certainly stands apart compared to the two and more singles in which she's talking about herself and X partner, or her relatives on others 

edit: also idrc about margaret lol  I'm afraid the lyrics will be a bit cheesy. I don't like when she does that

Despite it being BoZ's least favorite song on the record, he did insinuate that the only reason why it's on the bottom is because he's just not a fan of Jack's voice, it's a great song outside of that. I don't love Jack's voice, but I don't hate it either, so I think that I'm going to really appreciate Margaret. Seems like a really sweet song. 

Thematically it's probably not cohesive with the album but I just hope it doesn't ruin the vibe or anything since it was a last minute addition

Wasn't there supposed to be a "live" performance recorded for a talk show a few months back?? Byron and Blake were playing something together on a stage if I remember well

I'm so curious about how it'll sound bc based on the insiders's description I can only hear sweet carolina, blue banisters and beautiful when I think of fingertips and kintsugi. I'm not gonna lie I never liked those songs
