  1. yes. people who don't type the words "green propaganda" as if there's this hidden deep state cabal of scientists trying to get people to cut their carbon emissions for some sinister motive
  2. how fitting -- both the 1975 and lana's songs getting their first, second (and last ) radio plays
  3. honestly... love how the 1975 aren't afraid to take artistic risks. this lead single is not gonna get any airplay lmaooooo
  4. The level of ignorance about Greta Thunberg... why am i still surprised on lana boards dot com
  5. omgggg i get to hear the new 1975 single as well... maybe annie mac snapped
  6. if this is true about lana's team only premiering a song they can't even play in full properly...
  7. Meaghan Garvey has been a contributor for Pitchfork for a while and has written plenty of reviews, including a delicious review of the last Kanye album. While it has been a while since her last contribution to the site, she is very much dropping hints that she is involved in the NFR review. It is important to remember that while reviews are written by one person, the scores are aggregated from across the staff, which is why sometimes the tone of the review seems to clash with the score itself. Here she replies to someone saying "And now...here we are waiting for a Norman Fucking Rockwell review." with "oh you know i got you!" Also in the last few minutes, in response to someone asking her to predict the Pitchfork score for NFR, she said "no clue but it's amazing".
  8. The person who wrote the Billboard article (Meaghan Garvey) is also going to be writing her Pitchfork review ksskjsjs
  9. fuck sake the woman can’t do shit without being harangued have a grand, opulent video? she’s glamorising materialism and sending unhealthy messages about wealth draw from her previous experiences on a trailer park etc? She’s using poverty as an aesthetic - disgusting. At this point she’d be better off just lipsyncing to the song in a bare room - except we’d all jump down her throat for being ‘creatively bankrupt’
  10. Unfortunately it’s the epitome of lazy journalism. It’s a rehash of the recent Sunday Times article which itself drew bits from 2011 interviews. Someone from The List has misinterpreted it to be a new interview, which is blatantly inaccurate.
  11. There are files floating around purporting to be FIILY in 320kbps but they are all upscaled. We don’t have it in a good quality yet (or at least it isn’t widely available).
  12. Lust for Life reading this thread: first they love you then they switch yeah they switch like *******
  13. For the most part... I’m still mad at them ending the record with a circus clown version of the The Animals’ cover of DLMBU
  14. It's perfectly legitimate to have concerns, complaints, or suggestions about the running of the site. But to talk about 'professionalism' is difficult, especially because Elle and the mods are not in the public eye and do not run LanaBoards as a profit-making venture. There is no cost to the user to register and post, and indeed forum upkeep costs can be significant. I'm not sure if most people here remember the times when there would be stretches of several days where the site was down because the server wasn't paid for under the previous owner. Talking about people being 'fucking useless' or making points in an inflammatory way on the wrong thread is really not productive.
  15. For me personally, an album has to have average/poor reviews AND perform negatively commercially to be a flop. Some albums that don't sell like crack but get loads of acclaim like Dirty Computer or Honeymoon don't deserve the flop label. An album like Younger Now (which bombed in the charts, got 58 on Metacritic, and was abandoned by the artist two weeks after release )? Flop
  16. Lana Del Rey announces her seventh studio album is to be released exclusively via the Instagram story of a randomly selected 13 year old girl, who will be sent a dictaphone with the album on it, followed by death threats from thousands of gays. ”It’s what my fans are used to, and it’s truly what they deserve,” Del Rey said in a statement.
  17. because he’s ingrained in the mythology of cults and the dark side of Hollywood glamour. it’s lana’s whole thing to a t
