All Around the Moon

I just got my Amazon vinyl and it is very purple. It isn't an awful color, but I am disappointed considering the picture shows the vinyl matching the pink text on the cover. I think this was discussed already, but was anyone able to get a refund without having to return the item? If so, how?

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I really hope it's version 2 with the strings opening and bagpipes(?) in the bridge, only she swaps out the bagpipes for something that fits the song better. The opening is just so heavenly to me

I have never gotten a vinyl on time for release day for any artist, so I expect it at this point unfortunately. 

I just emailed the indie record store I ordered from and they said they don't have enough to send me mine.  I'm about to email Target because apparently my vinyl is "arriving March 16" and it's been in transit for a week. Ughhhh

My standard vinyl and white vinyl came today from her store.  Still waiting on Amazon, Target, and indie exclusive, 2 of which are MIA with no shipping info yet.

I wonder if that new vinyl variant could be a triple vinyl maybe instead of a box set. Would make most sense regarding the price. 

I just picked at a few of them and they're attached well!

The patches being out of order does bother me a bit, but I'm still happy with it and I think everyone who ordered it will be too. 

Here's the racer jacket! I ordered a large and it's very big on me, but I like it because it's more comfortable! I think this is my favorite piece of Lana merch I own and I am SO happy I got it! I It feels pretty high-quality, though I don't have anything to compare it to because I've never ordered a jacket from her. I am so happy it arrived today and I'll be wearing it all weekend. 

Also, thank you to everyone who told me how to upload these. Took some trial and error, but I finally got it.

Is LDR Village not loading for anyone else? I can get to the site, but it doesn't load when I click on the cherry icon for the gift shop. But I can access the gift shop from the menu on the left.

I just finished listening for the first time. Wow. I have many thoughts and I don't even know which song I want to revisit first. Here are my first impressions that will very likely change as I listen more:

Upon first listen, my top 5 are Candy Necklace, Paris, Texas, Let the Light In, Peppers, and Taco Truck x VB. Candy Necklace was so haunting, especially when Jon came on. Paris, Texas was beautiful and I really connect with it. I went YEEESSSSS in my head when I heard the first 5 seconds of Let the Light In. I was not expecting Peppers to sound like that at all. The first half of Taco Truck was STUNNING and although I love the VB part, I kinda wish the first half was the whole song. I need more time with Kintsugi, Fingertips, and Sweet.

I wish that the album was mixed better. Even listening in Dolby Atmos, her vocals often sounded very muffled. I also heard some strange thumping in the background of the title track? It was subtle, but super distracting once I noticed it. I'm not sure if it was my headphones or the mixing. Anyone else hear that? 

Anyway, this is a very solid album overall. These are just my initial thoughts, so take them with a grain of salt. I'm going to re-listen to my faves!

I think I'm going to take a quick nap before I listen to the album, so I'll say my goodbye now.

I've been here for almost a year now, lurking for most of the time, and it's been such a ride. I had so much fun keeping up with the crazy antics, theories, opinions, and more. I'm so happy it's almost time to to listen and I can't wait to discuss with you all tomorrow!

What are the chances she drops merch at midnight? I want to listen to the album the second it's out, but I'm worried I'll miss out on merch 

Not that anyone asked for it, but I just wanted to chronicle my predictions based on what I heard everyone saying about the songs. 

A MUSIC VIDEO FOR WHAT I PREDICT WILL BE MY FAVORITE SONG 

Debating if I should try to sneak in a 2-hour nap before midnight or just stay up until then. My sleep schedule is wrecked either way because any slight changes hit me hard. 

I'm counting tonight as release eve since I'll basically be listening to the album tomorrow night (even though it's technically Friday morning). I just wanted to say it's been a wild ride with you all and I can't believe we made it! I haven't listened to the leaks or attended a release party, but reading all of your opinions has gotten me so hyped. It feels like I know so much yet so little. My jacket and Target vinyl are coming Friday and it all feels so real now. This album feels so special already and I'm just so excited.

For those who have heard the album, which picture do you think fits it best? Not just the album covers, but the ocean and flower pictures too.

I've only listened to the 3 singles and A&W is my favorite. I anticipate Candy Necklace being my favorite once I hear the whole album.
