Web store exclusive with Crash got mispressed and people sent black variants instead of the red marble and they refunded people for it. I ain't talking about those shitty "make your own vinyl" sites either where they're just direct cutting plastic with dubious sound quality; I'm talking about properly mastered plates and real pressed discs.

 

We've got SO MANY high quality tracks and enough shit in lossless or near losses over the years. Like, my copy of Nelly Furtado's loose was a boot and I've had it for a minute (now there's finally an official of it eons later), and the quality on that is like, violently identifiable as coming from some compressed mp3 source, but it was still pressed and sold. We're already loads above that; XCX World's got shit that's lossless ("real" or fan made via stem bounces idgaf quality is quality), there's so many leaks from various eras that are perfect enough quality that could cohesively be bundled up into *something*.

Idk I'm being entitled and grumpy.

Seriously. As someone who "hated" PC music when it first came out and strongly disliked just how....harsh?.... it was? Over time, the more and more I listen to it the more I pick up on the fact that Sophie had the right ear and talent to really shape the fuck out of the genre and sound.

There's a handful of losses in the music industry that leave it worse off and lacking, and she is definitely one of them for me. When I get my hands on a time machine I'm going back and stopping that one....

I’m nowhere near Ariana and Ethan’s side, just pointing out that there’s no win in this situation for the child, but I do think the 2nd option is probably more traumatic. 

As a kid where both parents "tried to stick it out for the kids", let me lay it down straight (in my limited case)

• One parent wanted therapy/couples counseling. The other one couldn't put down the narcissism to admit they could be the problem.
• One parent had anger issues and when frustrated with the other, the children were the targets who got the brunt of it
• Children were allowed/disallowed to do certain things, just to spite the other parent
• Extended family members started to discuss with us children rather adult topics regarding our parents relationship at inappropriate ages
• "Sticking it out" led to one parent having MULTIPLE affairs and cheating, for YEARS - in one case going so far as to introduce the mistress to us kids

Sorry but like, I would have loved for the divorce to have happened when I was 3 rather than when I was 13. Rip the bandaid off and move on.

Some shit is irreconcilable between two people, regardless of children or not, and some folks are the sorts of persons and personalities where they're already looking for "the next one" before they've fully jumped ship from who they are with now. There's never going to be a nice, wholesome, PR-friendly, "everyone is happy" win in those cases. Ever.

It's fairly common that marriages go to shit, and sometimes kids are involved, sometimes kids aren't, and personally? If he wanted out and wasn't happy, but stayed together anyway, like - as the child of parents who were DEEPLY miserable but stayed together for years "for the children" - I'll say that in my experience sometimes the divorce and split up is honestly the healthier option for the kid.

3. Not @ anyone in any of these comments or the ones I quoted, but people in general, put relationships and sex on SUCH a high pedestal. The sheer outrage in the name of Morals and Monogamy whenever the topic of cheating or breakup/divorce comes around utterly baffles me. The aura of those conversations in some places online weirdly veers into pick-me and incel/gaycel territory and my eyes just glaze over at the projection and self-inserts into the discourse.
