Well I mean if an album is really good that can make certain songs seem not as good. Like on NFR!, a lot of people don't like Bartender or The Next Best American Record because they are up against AMAZING songs like MAC, VB, or HTD. But they are actually amazing songs, especially Bartender. I think that is where it is coming from. also piano ballets can go either way with a lot of fans. And if it is a piano ballet like BOZ said, it makes sense it doesn’t stand out against A&W or Peppers

Drew helped on Watercolor Eyes and even if it is a simple song, it does sound very polish and beautiful

I do agree. Like I think NFR! is cohesive-ish. It has upbeat songs like Doin’ Time and Best American Record but overall, it has a very cohesive theme. That is kinda what I think this record will be like. Maybe not sound 100% cohesive but the themes will show a strong connection. Like what BOZ said, it is like a personal diary

Personally, I don’t care about cohesiveness. I just want beautiful quality music. I’m actually excited for the pastor interlude, I hope it is a little creepy

Blue Banisters was a rushed album. Like all around it was a very rushed project that didn’t reach its full potential. I feel like judging Drew Ericksons work off of that album would be unfair (even though I do love Blue Banisters) But I will say, all her work with Jack has been very good. I know a lot of people dislike Chemtrails but it is very well produced and just as good as NFR! imo
