I listened to The Anthology for the first time on Sunday and it's been on repeat :trisha: imgonnagetyouback, The Albatross, How Did It End? I Hate It Here, I Look In Peoples Windows, The Prophecy, Cassandra, The Bolter are my highlights :trisha: Overall I think TA > TTPD, but they're so different to me that it's almost incomparable

finally another person who agrees that the anthology is the better half :true:

TTPD is better sonically but i LIVE for her songwriting on this half. i clicked with the anthology immediately, and that doesn't happen with a lot of albums for me

in an alternate universe, she would still mostly be posting publicly on her lanadelrey account, doing tons of promo on oceanblvd, and honeymoon would be a private insta with 450k followers that she opens once a year for an hour :krylie:

an hour is too long, make it ten minutes tops so the word doesn't travel across tik tok :raven:

honestly, i feel like the anthology is literally woodvale. i don't rly need any folkmore sounding tracks anytime soon. i would be seated for crazier (tv), need, and a bunch of other vault songs.

i would absolutely take another folkmore style album, but i do agree that the anthology is an updated version of what woodvalve could've been. woodvalve truthers RISE :illuminataylor:

Robin is one of her worst songs I’m sorry (NOT)

that's the one song i have seen everyone collectively dislike (and i agree.) dare i say the epiphany of TTPD. it doesn't really hit hard unless you have/like kids :whatever2:

My skips are TTPD, I Can Do It…, thanK you aIMee, Cassandra, Robin, and The Manuscript. Out of 31 songs that’s pretty awesome! And I don’t even dislike those songs they’re just not my vibe.

cassandra is one of my favorites :prettyhurts: so cinematic

    3. Wait For Me (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
    4. Nevermind (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
    5. Boys And Love (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
    6. Unknown Craig Waismen Fearless Outtake (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)

    8. Let's Go (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
    9. Wonderful Things (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)

*= (one of) the Harry Styles outtake(s) but I figured just rework whatever one she things the fans would like the most, would be solo as well.

praying to see Smokey Black Nights (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault) on the debut tracklist:pray2:

I don't think anyone else has done this.

it's crazy how tiny midnights sales seem compared the TTPD. everyone was gagged by those sales, imagine going back a year ago and telling people that she more than doubled that with her next record :shock2:

oh, and i also hate it when people joke about how listening to lana del rey at a young age made them a mess or something like that, her music isn't a bad influence, i started listening to her at 13 and it only made my life better because i love the music and it means something to me, it isn't lana's fault that you're a hot mess express

this!! also when people blame their attraction to older people or issues with their parents on her, even jokingly. it's old and it dulls her art to very superficial level, thus creating the stereotypes and the defenses people who don't like her use when they wanna trash talk her music. i always feel like the closing track of honeymoon is her begging against this

  9. the caption on her latest instagram post really jumped out at me. i first saw her  in concert days before her 21st birthday, and now she's in the last year of her 20's?? time truly flies :krylie:

    I think she's at her fame's peak

i said that too a couple of years ago about 1989, especially since in the lover era it felt like she's was dropping off a bit, but this past year has been an incredible awakening from that. i'd say anything is possible for her at this point :true:

This album is tons and tons better than Midnights. The critics reception for Midnights should've been the real reception for TTDP and TTDP's reception should've been the real reception for Midnights. I know that people and music critics are tired of Taylor but this album is like a whole new island in her discography, it's a whole new universe of emotions. The grief stage concept was kinda genius ngl.

when it's eventually cool to like her again there will be thousands of articles written about how wrong they were, i'm calling it now

I don't wanna start smthn but I'm not a fan of all these comments about not ageing; women should be allowed to age and there's nothing wrong w that

i could never be famous, seeing people constantly discuss my looks via age and weight would drive me right into a psych ward

  13. this video is an incredible analysis of the album. i'm sure no one outside of the fandom would want to watch a 2 hour video about a single album, but this is what i will point people towards when they try to say her current writing doesn't make any sense and she's just saying things.

  14. been listening to the anthology obsessively. it's giving me that same feeling i got when i was in the early stages of listening to folklore and evermore, just awestruck. i love taylor swift in all kinds of genres but THIS is where she truly thrives to me. the strings in the prophecy have me in a chokehold :oprah:

  15. i just installed this on my switch a couple of days ago! what i wouldn't give to have one of my relatives gift me some large plot on land in the country to escape to right now...
