I just think it’s time to let the legacy speak for itself and stop trying to block any other artist sharing the spotlight with her

thiss. i don't really care who started it (although the hypocrisy in some of billie's comments have been funny), she's just too big to be picking fights with other people over chart success. it sucks that she feels the need to do this.

she swears she don't the drama but she does :bebe:

  2. as stupid as it sounds, lana's old "trailer park party girl" aesthetic made me come to love life without fancy things. i never had a lot of money growing up, just enough to be comfortable and fed (which is retrospect is more than enough.) as a child i always longed for the life of my friends who went on annual summer vacations and had the newest phones. when i was discovering lana i quickly fell in love with her portrayal of her, for lack of a better term, less luxurious lifestyle and how she turned it into something to be proud of.

ride also helped change my perspective. as long as i can find my "home" and have the open road, life will always be okay.

    that’s awesome. Nature is healing.

    it's really not :emma:

no one should have to be ashamed of the things they love just because others think it's uncool. i know you think it's funny but stuff like this really gets irritating after a while, especially when it's in a thread that's dedicated to said artist.

i work with a bunch of 28-35 year olds on average and ALL of them love her and our companies most liked posts on LinkedIn are Taylor related 💀💀

i guess it doesn't help that i'm constantly surrounded by people who make it their life's mission to make sure nobody thinks they like taylor swift. very true that she is still generally beloved, but it almost feels like we're returning to that period in her early career when it was almost shameful to say you like her music. i haven't gone on twitter in months, so i can't imagine what it's like on there right now :eek2:

I hope she gets cancelled soon, so we get Rep TV asap :xgiggle:

are we not kinda there already :bebe:

it really is just her and her fans against the world right now. everyone else seems to be a raging cynic when it comes to her or her music

  6. so i bought an extra ticket to see if a friend wanted to come with but she cannot make it to boston next month. would like to sell it for face value (including the fees), possibly to someone on here looking, but the tickets seem to be non-transferable. it there anyway around this? would hate for it to go to waste when i see real fans who are looking for tickets :sadcore:

one month since the album and i'm still discovering lyrics i misheard :rip:

in loml i always thought it was "your arsons match your somber eyes", as in his bad actions match his emotional state, but it's actually "your arson's match, your somber eyes"

the importance of punctuation! this literally changes the entire meaning of the lyric :thumb3:

i originally heard her say "did you really beat me up" in down bad :rip: like oh we're actually giving him criminal charges okay

I should have specified- I think they meant the instrumental in the last part. But still, every cinematic dream pop song isn't exactly a lana copy :toofunny:

now that i listen to it again i can definitely hear the similarities. it was my favorite song by melanie when i was younger so no wonder i grew up to be a lana fan, her sound has always been hypnotic for me :wowcry:

but agree it's kinda stupid to call it a carbon copy of lana's music

    :rollin:

i'm so glad my show was a year ago because i would be absolutely devastated right now if i found out she was playing all of my favorites from the anthology without me :defeated:

I remember people saying it was a ripoff of Summertime Sadness which is a bit of a stretch, but yeah it's for sure inspired a bit

bittersweet tragedy sounds nothing like summertime sadness?? :lel:

Can she ditch Portals era already and work on the next one? :defeated:

literally. but her other eras/creation processes have each taken at least three years to conclude so that's what i'm prepared for :deadbanana:

i love the new billie album, but i find it amusing how with every release, there are mental gymnastics to bring taylor up. the digital versions thing didn't help, but

it's always like "ohh well this is SO much better than ttpd" or "i wonder how TAYLOR feels now about putting out such a mid album"- like? we can't we talk about

    literally, it's so funny :eartha:

was looking at a video of dua lipa's newest drop and at least twenty comments on there were referencing taylor. do they not get tired?

  12. i thought this could be an interesting game because i am intrigued by a lot of usernames on here and often wonder what they mean :dua:

rules are simple, try to guess why the user above you chose their handle and/or what it relates to. to keep the format on here clean, like the comment if the person guessing about your name is correct! if no one correctly guesses your name and the game moves on, you can comment again with a hint. quote the person you're guessing!

    can anyone guess mine?
