BUT
Lana not doing a song for the soundtrack is a literal crime against HUMANITY
I wonder whether they asked her and she said no
Sofia had always the same musicians (her husband's band and also other musicians) on her movie soundtracks so probably that's why

"Walk in the way of my soft resurrection
Idol of roses, iconic soul
I know your name
Lead me to war with your brilliant direction"

"I put the radio on, hold you tight in my mind
Isn't strange that you're not here with me?
I'm putting all the lights on and the television
Trying to transmit, can you hear me?"

I just hope she's not snowonthebeach-ed like on those two other Bleachers songs which were released in 2021. I need a Lana verse

I don't really wanna be that annoying nerd but Ocean Blvd song was technically released in Dec 2022 🤓☝ but the list is good, it was interesting to read that!

Despite being a fan for almost 7 years, I still haven't listened to all of her unreleased songs and demos (every single one completely out of ~500 songs or idk how many she has) and I still don't want to do that, sorry I just have my own favorites (+ AKA and Sirens) I have listened to out of those 500 songs. I believe I have listenes to at least 100 unreleased songs and demos of hers. I don't wanna really pressure myself too to listen to them. I just know the names lol. I'm just more interested in her released work rather unreleased work but some of her unreleased songs still have a great meaning for me. I just hope that doesn't make me a less of a fan...

I read an Instagram comment today that the white and yellow vinyls were restocked for Blue Banisters' birthday. Is it true?

I wonder if this will result in a cover story that leads to info about LDR10.. it’s been 7 months since the release of Ocean Blvd, and 7 months after Blue Banisters is when Lana had her cover story with W Magazine where she gave us the first LDR9 tidbit with Fingertips lyrics x
Maybe we should do a Rumours thread for it

Lana fans hating Nikki Lane is funny not gonna lie what's especially funny is when the haters get scared when they see Lana with her and are afraid that she's going to do country music, like...you don't know Lana at all?

21 minutes ago, Elle said:I actually theorise that they met through him. Nikki & Lana first met in January 2014 (or at least that’s when they were first photographed together) and at the time, Dan was the lead producer on both of their albums that they were set to release that year.
Dan’s albums for both Lana (Ultraviolence) and Nikki (All or Nothin) are my favourite from each of their discographies, so I think the takeaway here is that they need to bring Dan in for their collab album…
Here’s some of the Nikki tracks that Dan worked on for her 2014 record - the first one, You Can’t Talk To Me Like That, is my favourite Nikki song and something I could definitely hear Lana singing. The second one I shared, Seein’ Double, reminds me a little bit of Velvet Crowbar with the production. The last one, Right Time, is the most popular song from the record and one of her top songs among her whole discography (#4 in her Popular songs on Spotify & her most streamed song from one of her own albums) x
Manifesting these vibes honestly

Oh this was that controversial statement and the same woman who wrote Savages and To Be Human thanked for this statement that's so hypocritical of her

On 10/20/2023 at 8:05 AM, Ultra Violet said:Don't get me wrong, I love all the channels making "Ultraviolence" versions of other Lana songs, and many of them I listen to regularly, but it's like we all forgot Ultraviolence has some songs that aren't rock-based at all and also has other sounds that branch out a lot more. There is so much focus on making a song sound like rock and calling it an Ultraviolence Version, but no one is noticing the soft jazz, the vintage sounds, the piano and the strings as the part that is distinctly Lana. In fact, the album sounding too "classic rock" is exactly what Dan Auerbach said was wrong with the original record before he produced it.
I absolutely get that rock is probably easier for amateur musicians to do on their computers, but yeah, I still kinda see it as making Ultraviolence more shallow than it is. It's such a complex album, I'm always searching for more and never being satisfied!
Exactly, there was a fanmade heavy metal version of Heroin in YT and all the comments there were like "omfg Ultraviolence vibes" and I'm like bitch where?
Ultraviolence was never rock rock, like hard rock or something like that. It's like alternative rock, indie rock, blues rock, jazz rock, psychedelic rock, desert rock, dream rock and perhaps baroque rock. It has electric guitars which is a common element in rock music but it sounds much more unique than in regular rock songs. Same with drums, the drums are more slow and hazier dreamier on UV. Also there are other elements which aren't that common in ordinary rock songs like strings, orchestra and also there are a lot of acoustic instrumentals too like acoustic guitar or piano. But I once saw a random band calling Ultraviolence as their insipiration and calling it a pop album...for me it's a definitely an insult to the album, it's definitely not a pop album. But I wouldn't really call it a traditional rock album too. More like rock subgenres and of course alternative.
I don't think that NFR album is rock too but it represents the rock subgenres: alternative rock, indie rock, soft rock, folk rock, psychedelic rock and maybe classic rock too.

Well...she kinda was problematic. Didn't she have those controversial blogs about Britney and Lily Allen in TFJ era? And also she wrote Girls which is kinda problematic nowadays...
Despite the controversial themes, I love the catchiness of Girls
