    I have always loved it

I like to play it back-to-back with Blinding (also underrated af)

Wtf same!? I adoreeeeeee Blinding, it's my favorite song from Lungs and probably my top 5 Flo fave all time

ya i'm scared it's not going to be very good as it seems like she is kind of desperate for critical approval by going back to the melodrama aesthetic. she also seems to be working much quicker than previously, i can't tell if this is a good thing or not lol:smile3:

Well she's allegedly working with Blood Orange (she did a lot of promo for him and they were spotted together in NYC probably going to a studio)

  3. Breaking Bad is still my favorite show I have ever seen. Every season, episode and the writing was just excellent and gripping. It's the only series too where I didn't read any spoilers and it worked very well. :illumarina:

The Nanny is probably my favorite sitcom, in my opinion it was ahead of its time. The jokes, characters, fashion, the pop culture references and the campiness were just brilliant.

The Mentalist was probably the show which made me go crazy because I was obsessed with the characters because of the great chemistry and how I was obsessed with shipping. The storyline was clunky but the acting was something I lived for. I would have almost put a gif from this show as my signature. Also I freaked out when they played Off To The Races there.

The show I have rewatched the most is definitely Desperate Housewives (definitely rewatched that for 5 times) - the writing was so perfect and smart and the acting was definitely top tier. The later seasons were kind of boring but the first seasons were definitely amazing. Desperate Housewives walked so all the HBO drama shows could run. A perfect drama "soap".

I really adored Grey's Anatomy too but the current seasons are really meh, they're kind of cringe and lifeless, reality-show like, they more focus on the private lives than on the doctors' works. I love the middle seasons the most, 9th season is my favorite and I really loved the 12th season too. I haven't seen the first five seasons, I think that they're really great but I already know the plot of these seasons. Not gonna lie, the tragic episode are really iconic. :mj:

  4. Idk how to feel about the cover when I first saw it I thought it was fan-made, while I love the "mysteriousness" of the og cover where she didn't show her eyes and only showed her red lips + seagull sweatshirt and also the cover was a real polaroid.

This one feels kinda cheap, but it kinda makes my heart also warm - she's smiling for the first time on her album covers (her Lust For Life era :usrs:), like she looks geniunely happy, I also love the seagulls and the white tank top (or bra) she's wearing there, reminds me of her 2014 Rolling Stones photoshoot. It's like she's reclaiming everything she had. I was hesitated about the text being there but I really can't imagine it being textless either with this cover. A Swiftie said in an Instagram comment that her putting the text titles on the cover means that 1989 was her first record which marked a new shift in her career - her new pop record - that putting the text cover symbolizes the shift of her career. The album cover is definitely better than the cover arts for Wildest Dreams and This Love - they were too glossy and too fashion magazine-y.

I honestly can't imagine a better album cover for this. Although, I miss the original one very much. But I'm so fucking excited for this, I screamed when I saw all the announcements in Insta. Those blue dresses were beautiful too which she was wearing in that show. Definitely a beautiful way to put an end to the first US tour leg! Now I'm kinda scared for the production since she's working with Shellback only. But I hope Jack's still working with her for their tracks and we know that Imogen Heap was with her when she re-recorded Clean in 2022. And I'm kinda sad that we got only 5 The Vault Tracks for the album, because we know that she wrote 150 songs for the album which means that we have 150 - 26 = 124 songs left in the vaults. One of the vault tracks is maybe the Bad Blood remix featuring Kendrick Lamar? Swifties also speculated that one of the tracks is Style remix ft Harry Styles. I really hope not since Taylor said that the vault tracks are never heard before.

Nevertheless, I'm FUCKING EXCITED!!!!!!!  it's so poetic that she's releasing the album on the exact 9th anniversary of the original album. Sad for Speak Now era because it was so short haha. But I can't wait for 1989 TV era music videos!!!!!

  5. I mean I'd like to see Lana in the Priscilla movie soundtrack but people begging Sofia Coppola to put Lana in the soundtrack in every of her Instagram post (even in non-Priscilla related posts) in every comment does not really show the fandom in a nice light, feels toxic and obsessive kinda :awkney:

  6. She looked absolutely beautiful there. Gorgeous dress and hair. It reminded me of that dress she was wearing in one of her Europe shows in July.

The vocals were amazing too, I loved it!

I'm super happy that Hope Is A Dangerous Thing is in the setlist because it's one of my top favorite Lana song and it's also one of her best songs ever, it definitelt deserves to be there, I love the choreo - or even it's better to say - art performance for this song. Definitely stunning.

I loved the Tamny Wynette cover too, maybe it was a tease for the American Standards & Classics cover album, or the folk/country cover albums? A girl can definitely dream.

I also loved that Ocean Blvd is back in the setlist in this show and it was the closer instead of Video Games. Video Games was brilliant as a closer too but Ocean Blvd is just perfect as closer because it kind of gives movie end credit vibes? Especially with the backup singers, a gospel masterpiece in the live shows. Definitely a highlight. I am kinda sad that my favorite Candy Necklace was cut but I understand if she didn't have much time to do it. I just hope it stays in the setlist.

But this show and the Chicago Lollapalooza shows were definitely one of the best shows of this festival tour. Definitely the highlights of her career. I love how much support she receives from her fans in shows like these. I love her so much for this! :legend::flutter:

  7. :party:APPRECIATION POST FOR AKA:party:

I adore this album so much, it's still one of her bests. And the album was way ahead of its time. So unique and mesmerizing.

Every melody has a personality its own, the way how she and David Kahne played with the production is so fascinating. It's so playful. And the visuals, the homemade music videos, so gorgeous. The lyrics are so beautiful, one of her bests too. The whole album is so 'cinematically delicious'

Every song from AKA is my favorite, but songs that are closer to my heart are Kill Kill (my first fave!), Brite Lites, Yayo, Raise Me Up, Mermaid Motel and Oh Say Can You See.
