It's a super niche market, honestly! It's not even doing that well in the box office. Blade Runner (original) wasn't even received that well. Honestly, in terms of imagery, though, I wonder where Lana was going with her near-future depiction of LA. Obviously, Blade Runner shows a very dark, dystopian near future LA.... but Lana's is much brighter. I spent almost three hours with a friend after the movie discussion different futuristic novels/movies and their depiction of the future and AI and other elements and it really really really made me want to flesh out the backstory behind Lana in Lust for Life. A connection between the future LA she lives in, living in the Hollywood sign, looking over earth (she's holding the globe and calls us her children), being on the moon, her relationship with the guy in Best American Record White Mustang, having powers of sorcery/witchcraft basically this is my proposal for a science fiction based series featuring lana del rey
