Yeah I thought the lyrics to Honeymoon were really amateur when I read them, but maybe her delivery will make up for it. Sometimes lyrics that look stupid on the page are redeemed if the sound of the song makes it clear that their cliche sound was intentional. Some of her other songs have lyrics that look stupid if you're just looking at them, but are better in song. Like Lolita's lyrics, especially the chorus, are pretty cheesy and childish, but when you listen to the song and she's singing it like a little girl in the playground, it makes sense and they don't seem dumb anymore? We'll have to see though.
