    More on topic, 90 days from the original 4th July release date would be October 2nd. It seems like the album was pretty much finished regarding concept and tracklist in June when she scrapped a bunch of stuff. Maybe she wanted to release it sooner but because of the Grammy deadline situation, her label told her that the earliest she could finish it by would be the 4th of July. She could have seen this and decided to announce that as the release date. It's a stretch but we know she's very impulsive.

    to me it feels it’s the other way around. She could have the album finished by July 4th and tried to release the album without physicals by posting the release date with no way around it. Tho her label blocked this as they get most of their coin from that, I assume. 
     

    Also Lana didn’t plan that much performances/festivals this summer. Kinda like she knew it would get cancelled/postponed anyway. I feel Lana enjoys performing for her fans after LfL. She knows what she wants, but her label is in her way. That’s how it feels to me. It’s just speculation :tsk:

    Lana could have switched everything of what it first was by now. For the album to be more cohesive in genres, but who knows

From a business point of view, perhaps they are waiting until January 2022 so that Blue Banisters gets more exposure as it coincides with Born to Die’s 10 year anniversary. People talking about BTD’s legacy and Lana being celebrated in the mainstream for her longevity after 10 years is the perfect time to release a new album, commercially-speaking.

    I think that I would've liked Summer Bummer to be solo in the album, and maybe Playboi Carti and A$AP Rocky added for a remix released as a single or something. But yeah, I wonder too if there was a final solo version before they added Rocky and Carti or was it just from So Good to the final mix. So Good sounds kinda plain to be considered a solo version imo, it feels like it lacks something big. If only the official instrumental for the album version leaked in 320 kbps :defeated: 

    I’m wondering that too. 

    The splendid bridge makes me think she has been playing with the lyrics for quiet some time. Maybe she added it when Playboi Carti and A$AP were already involved, but I doubt that. It has the same feeling as the verses on the (solo) version haha


    It would be nice if we got more demos, but that barely happens. Which makes me think the leakers like to keep the better versions to themselves most of the time. So, I hope there is!
     

    When the instrumental leaks in 320kbps I would really want to hear your final version if you make one!

    Yours sounds cool too! I like the layered parts with the humming in the background and the ‘Don’t be a bummer, babe.’ in the outro. It’s really nice! Only the end has a little bit of that pixelated filtered sound, but I don’t mind it too much. Your version sounds like a solo version would have worked for LfL, something I used to question.
    The demo sounded very plain to me.

    The story of the song is an extension to Blue Banisters. The feeling of being left out. Although I think Blue Banisters also tells that, but she also sees a more sunny side where her sisters are there to help.

    The So Good Acapella mixed with the Summer Bummer instrumental. 
     

    I love the original concept of the song and desired a more powerful version of it. I tried mixing it with the SB instrumental.

    Exactly! The only similarity is that Olivia’s first two singles were about a sad feeling, but that’s not what she is here for

    Even LMLYLAW - probably her most low-key single release to date - had an announcement beforehand. These 3 technically did not, so I hope we’re right about the ‘surprise’ drop for the whole album!

    That is it! The 4th of July date is so thought out in my opinion. The singles address abusive relationships she had with people other than men. 

     

    July 4th will be Lana Del Reys self-dependent-day by letting out all that has been on her mind.

    Lana’s last record was her 7th record. 


    7/11 is a place that Lana was spotted at on July 28, 2020. 
     

    2 is a factor of 8, and when you divide the two numbers together, you are left with 4.

     

    We took the numbers 2 & 8 from July 28th, but we didn’t do anything to July, so we are left with...July 4th!

     

    The math is mathing ❤️ Album out July 4th ❤️

    Taylor would be impressed! Lana really picked the right date, the math shows
