  1. Spoiler

Wow, I'm honored to be this week's runner-up! I found Miranda's look a bit pedestrian, but I stopped following streetwear trends in 1979, so what do I know? I would love to give thanks to my alligator friend for winning the judges' hearts, but he's unfortunately been dead and stuffed since 1934, according to the prop department... I wonder if he knew RuPaul?

Anyway, I'm going to spend the night with my synths trying to record a cover of "Dancing Crazy" to play at next week's panel!

I'm so chuffed to be here, but I've got to be honest: I was so stoned when I took that alligator picture in Amsterdam! I don't really remember it, but I'm glad everyone seems to like it. I think everyone looks really lovely, but I'd say Gaga and Jane are my biggest competitors. I thought I'd be the most theatrical girl here, but Gaga put on a bloody brilliant show. I got distracted by some birdsong echoing through the window and didn't hear Jane's description of her outfit, but she looks rather like some tropical bird flying over the Peruvian mountains on a psychosexual vision quest... what? That doesn't make any sense? Ah, fuck it, I'm going to get some more tea from craft services...

    Looks like a modern photoshoot.

It really does!! Photographer is Claude Vanheye and the dress designer is Fong Leng, and the whole photoshoot is both bonkers and really striking

  4. I was listening to this interview with Gered Mankowitz this week, who was responsible for a lot of Kate's 1978/9 promo images, and thinking how bad I need a Lanapedia-style archive of Kate's photoshoots :defeated: Especially in those early years, she was photographed SO much and in so many amazing setups:

Her wearing Arthur's merch is so adorable :crying: I'm such a sucker for Lizthur

  6. Let me be the lone voice in the wilderness saying Beautiful :crying5: I get that the earnestness of it can read a little cringey, but I love how sweet and hopeful it is. A perfect springtime song, when everything’s  brightening up and coming out of the cold :justride:

Inserting the backstory here yet again: a lady who modeled in Lana’s 1999 Abercrombie shoot and knew her indirectly ended up becoming a part of the upstate NY music industry & was in contact with the people who worked around Sirens.

    Track listing:
    1. For K
    2. Next to Me
    3. A Star for Nick
    4. My Momma
    5. Bad Disease
    6. Out with a Bang
    7. Westbound
    8. Try Tonight
    9. All You Need
    10. I’m Indebted to You
    11. Pretty Baby
    12. Aviation
    13. Find My Own Way
    14. Pride
    15. Birds of a Feather

This tracklist lines up with what was at the start of the thread - but also this came directly from Rob Kristofferson, who owns the Sirens CD (but I also thought his CD was missing track titles in the metadata at one point (?!)), as he is the only person to respond so far to the lady.

Im trying to see if Rob will possibly pass down the files from the CD again -  just to be sure 😬

We don’t deserve you :defeated: this is so major
