I didn't think a white girl made that up I was just saying the genre of the song sounded more asian influenced than reggae... I completely agree with you that the video doesn't have any POC and that it appropriates several cultures....

  3. Hømegirl just dropped a new video. and i posted it here. yet you felt the need to comment on that. okay, whatever though.

But do you really not find it kinda odd problematic that the song is reggae inspired but the video has no black people in it

i personally think it sounds more oriental than reggae but are not going to mention her stealing FKA Twigs/black baby hairstyle? Also is nobody going to mention that video is a cheap rip off of MIAs bad girls video but with just ugly white people who look like they need to take a shower? (Honestly 90% of the people In the video looked homeless)(no offense to homeless people)

  4. Madison Sqaure Gardens is a huge deal.. nice!

Would love to go see that show.

Everyone who sees her live, says its the most intense and best concert they have ever seen.

Dont know if i can make the big apple next aug far away tho.. we'll see.. :)

i hope you go and there is a mosh pit! Don't worry you'll be FINE!

  5. Hello, is one of the most beautiful songs and videos I've seen in quite awhile, it makes sense since it was filmed using IMAX cameras, very innovative

  6. I watched Eli Roth's Knock Knock last night and it was pretty fucked up. It's an interesting take on home invasion movies, a lot like Hard Candy (2005) in some ways, but but over the top like an Eli Roth movie. I enjoyed The Green Inferno more, but Lorenza Izzo's character in Knock Knock is my fave.

Also saw Crimson Peak yesterday, and it wasn't what I expected at all, but it has an interesting twist. I think seeing it once was good enough.

knock knock thoroughly pissed me off, I kept thinking "this is hard candy with no probable cause...."

  7. Melanie has had to do a lot of work to get where she is while Halsey (imo) has had a major label behind her the entire way... Melanie also doesn't try to push her being a minority into account to try and gain fans....

  8. I watched The Gallows yesterday because the trailer was so promising, but the reviews were right; it wasn't good. There were a few good scares but it just really was not a good film lol. At least my fav didn't die. :creep:

@@Jack let me know when / if you watch Girl House & what you think of it! I fucking love it so much.

Watching it today probz in an hour or 2, will update this post after

EDIT: HOLY FUCKING SHIT that was so good!!!!!!!! I wish more had lived tho, some of the girls were really smart!!!!!!!!!!

especially the red headed girl after she was able to escape the sauna and the black girl, both were super smart

  9. Why wouldn't you watch the first one.. first...????  :smh:

I haven't watched 2 or 3 (I really have to be in the mood for horror comedy) but the first Sleepaway Camp has got to be one of the best 80s horror movies I've ever seen. It's so interesting and aesthetically pleasing and the kills are awesome. The ENDING TOO, WOW. The final still of that movie will be forever in my mind. What a film..

You guys REALLY need to watch this. I know, it looks basic. It was actually really well done. One of the best slasher films I've seen, I actually really loved it, honestly. It's not pointless boobs and blood. It's creepy, well-written, entertaining, and the acting is pretty damn good. What surprised me about this film is that I cared about almost everyone that died. The women aren't exploited and their characters are treated with respect; like the way they were written. I dunno. This was a really good movie, you guys should check it out. I wasn't bored during any of the scenes. The pacing was really great.

I also watched Texas Chainsaw (1974) for the first time a couple months ago and wow.

Wow I'm going to have to watch that actually... Also I watched the original TCSM about 2-3 weeks ago and it's was surprising not as good as I thought It would be... Idk its iconic as hell and the first kill (you know what I'm talking about) was the best part other than

when she jumped out of the window

Also ps. I think this has been like the only time over ever used a spoiler in the proper way :lmao:

  10. I decided to sell my ticket to her show in Greensboro and give another fan the chance to see her since I've already met her 2 times this tour :oprah: but yeah I made $27 on it (I could've made more but I didn't want to be that person selling an $18 ticket for $80 or more... (Looking at you stubhub :sideeye:)
