lol, I think your expectations are totally wrong, Ethel is not the artist for catchy songs

american teenager, hard times, gibson girl, family tree, and strangers were all fairly catchy to me.. that's more than 1/3rd of her last album.. to go from that to every song being this long conceptual thing is just jarring for me  she knows she could've thrown in a fun one for the kids.. she just wants to be different and doesn't want a tiktok hit imo (which she maybe wouldn't even get anyways bc it's getting BANNED in ten days apparently)

the next album will probably have the songs you want again, but this one is more of an interlude, an experimental 'EP' with ambient and drone music

this is so stupid lol. Why on earth would anyone have a “tiktok” hit? Lmao. Most artists don’t have TikTok hits in their albums. Like what are you even saying. 
 

“She just wants to be different” and she can? Like who are you to dictate what artists should or should put on their albums? This is not your creative vision it’s theirs. At best you can like it or not

she doesn't do it to be different she literally just wanted to explore some of her favourite genres lol + you know damn well no one who hates CEOs is thinking about some poor lady instead of world leaders and rich bastards. let's use our brains!
