the altar is one of my favorite albums EVER 

 

i remember hearing fuck with myself for the first time after being in a huge banks drought and just fucking ASCENDING

 

and then gemini feed & mind games were even better

 

and then when i finally heard the album when it came out it just sounded like one of the best things i've ever heard

Haven't listened to the album yet but BANKS is one of those who have their own universe and made some classics among the albums released. As some say here, The Altar was amazing. I hope she does a dark pop album like Trainwreck which has been my favorite from her for years.

It's a shame I haven't liked the faster-paced songs on this record. 

So far I'm only really getting into Deadend, Burn and I Still Love You.

If I'm not mistaken, Meditation Song is from Goddess sessions and I Still Love You is from The Altar sessions.

Even as this picture is, would be a better album artwork than the official! Without adding anything

i’ve been seeing a lot of hate for it on twitter, which is a shame because i think the album is amazing! only skips for me are holding back, meteorite, and the devil. 

 

i do, however, think the production lacks in some songs but is made up by her vocal strategies and endearing lyrics. 

 

i also think the album cover doesn’t fit the music well at all.

i LOOOVE her other albums. to the hilt, lovesick, if we were made of water, and contaminated are my all time favorites from her.
