HONEYMOON - Is it BTD 2.0 or UV 2.0?

Lana has said numerous times that HM is more closely tied to "the first two albums" and removed from last year's Ultraviolence. That being said, many in this forum feels as though it is sonically a followup to Ultraviolence. 

 

So to put it to a vote - how do you consider it and why?

Definitely closer to the Ultra sound, at least I feel like it does. Music To Watch Boys To could fit in on Ultraviolence and I would never know the difference.

The Blackest Day is the most similar sounding track to Born To Die on any album since imo

i wish she wouldn't have said that she was going back to her BTD roots because honestly i can barely hear the similarities between this album and BTD and i had my hopes up... but it's still a great record

I think Honeymoon has influences from both BTD and UV but still remains a completely different sound than either of them

I feel like the instrumentals are inspired from UV

but vocals are similar to BTD (Religion - Without You/Ride, GKIT - Million Dollar Man...)

 

So it's a kind of mashup?

But it's a new album we'll never get a 2.0 from her

I'll agree with most people here.  To me it's a little like BTD and a little like UV, but really has its own unique sound.

I feel like it's UV's older sister and BTD's cousin, there are similarities between both but differences; like SweetPea said, it sounds lile both but neither at the same tome

its much more mature than BTD.

But, I can hear some BTD vibes from it.

So if there is a mix option on this poll I'll change it for this.

but until now I'll keep it UV 2.0.

Terrence Loves You is so much UV.

I would say it's UV 2.0, but it has a unique sound, just closer to UV than BTD, which, for me, will always be remembered by its extravagant production.
