I enjoy making cover and fan art a lot, and I've been making those for like a decade or so. As a result I've made hundreds of covers, however I'm only picking up a few of my recent ones (I've made within the last year) for now and updating new ones as they're made. Enjoy!

 

Jannika B - Äänet ja askeleet (2014) & Sudenhetkellä/Vantaan kokoinen yksinäisyys (2017)

Jannika B is a Finnish pop artist who has released two studio albums in 2013 and 2014, and is currently working on her third one. I've met her in person a few times and I tweeted her my fanmade cover for her song "Äänet ja askeleet" (rough translation is Voices and footsteps) in 2014 which she shared on her social media accounts, asking if her listeners wanted the song to be released as a single since she had thought about herself. Eventually she contacted me via e-mail and asked if she could use my cover art for the official single and I definitely agreed. However the cover I had made was only 500x500 and there were some small things I wanted to fix so I made another one with small changes in 1400x1400. You can listen to the song here, the cover art used in the video is the album cover.

 

The second cover is one I made for her latest maxi single, which contains songs called "Sudenhetkellä" (Sudenhetki is the time from 3AM to 5AM when people are thought to be at their weakest) and "Vantaan kokoinen yksinäisyys" (roughly translated as Loneliness as big as Vantaa, Vantaa is a city in Finland and researches show that there's about as much lonely people in Finland as there is population in Vantaa). Finnish rap duo, they basically rule Finland's charts on Spotify etc. whenever they drop a song. As they released this one in December 2015 (translated as Back to the Future), they announced that they won't release any more physical albums. I purposely aimed for a tacky cover inspired by 80's B movie posters. You can watch the music video here.

 

 

 

Paperi T - Elokuva (2015)

If Paperi T had been around when Lana had her Paradise show in Finland, I wouldn't have been surprised if she would've selected him as her opening act. He's a rap artist, DJ and a poet whose solo album Malarian pelko (trans. Fear of Malaria) was a big success and received very good reviews. You can watch the music video for the song "Elokuva" (Movie) here. Last year when he published a book of his poems, the first press was quickly sold out around the country.

 

 

 

Lorde - Melodrama (2017)

And finally, the most recent one which I made just before I started this topic. Personally I like the cover of Melodrama a lot, and I wanted to do my version of it while respecting the original. I'm not sure if it turned out good or not but whatevs.

SDCC was last weekend and apparently there's a Harley Quinn vs. The Joker film in the works - now I'm a DC fan and even a bigger fan of Harley, Margot and Suicide Squad, so I was already way too excited for the upcoming Gotham City Sirens film and now it's getting even better with Harley standing up against Mr. J. I was bored last night so I did a few posters while listening to Lust for Life and here's one of them, enjoy! I've made lots of posters before and this just might be one of the very best.
