I also wasn't a fan of White Mustang, and didn't like how Heroin is basically White Mustang 2 in the way it was written. But props to her for that (is it called a leitmotif?)

It probably is a metaphor but the line “how it gave you everything and took your life away” can very easily be interpreted in a literal way. For some reason I only interpret that literally

Heroin is one of the best songs off LFL tbh! And White Mustang is great melody and vocal wise, but the lyrics suck I will agree. Still love it tho

Honestly White Mustang feels like a whole ride. In just 2 minutes she manages to transition from a small piano driven song into a fully produced song with beats and whistles and everything and ends on a loud note. I thought it was very unexpected when it first came out
