New album is out now

im listening now

edit:

ok , as a little side-project collab album it’s cute . If it was a proper solo sufjan album I’d be disappointed in it as a whole . I wish there was more unpredictability to it , more change-ups during the songs . but as i said it’s just a lil side-project , and for what it is there’s still a few songs on it i liked enough to add to playlists , like Lost in the World and It’s Your Own Body and Mind .

Murder and Crime and Cimmerion Shade are also nice

The masterpiece that is My Rajneesh tf. I’ve ascended multiple times to that track :defeated:

Thank you for reminding me of it, I’m playing it now! Completely forgot about that hidden gem

speaking of hidden gems:

One of my favourite songs by him! but u have to be in a certain mood (high as fuck) to truly appreciate it

Remembering how prolific Sufjan was last year, with those five or so albums I literally couldn't care less about. :flutter:

I was still reeling from Sugar which dominated and nothing really from A Beginner's Mind could live up to, but I really want to revisit it. Hopefully it clicks a little more subsequently?

This main piano melody is still haunting me daily also

Old Man of the Lake and The Kiss of Niobe are absolutely stellar. Hard to believe that these are bonus tracks

where did you listen to the bonus tracks? :defeated:

If you go to the Sufjan subreddit and look at the “Javelin Five Bonus Song Discussion” post, someone posted a google drive link for the songs
