One-album wonders

We've all heard of one-hit wonders, haven't we? What about LPs, though?

 

What artists can you think of whose only one album you consider good? It can be an exceptional debut that outshines the artist's subsequent efforts or a later album that suddenly received love and acclaim larger than the rest of releases. Discuss. 

 

(Here I don't mean one-album wonder in terms of commercial success or in the sense "the only album" a particular musician has ever recorded)

lmao Sky Ferreira and Ryn Weaver came to mind as both have only released one album, until I read the first post  

In those terms, definitely Melanie Martinez. Cry Baby outshines her subsequent releases - although I get to listen to them all, her debut remains her best to me.

and maybe Doja Cat with Planet Her. The rest have their standouts but as a whole PH is more consistent I guess.

I'll dare saying Ariana Grande, but I'm cheating a little because I'm debating whether Dangerous Woman or Sweetener would take the crown, but as I enjoy both that would be two-album wonder? lol what

Jeff Buckley. Obviously, he only had one album because he died but he deserves to be mentioned. I often wonder if he were still here, what his other albums would look like and where he would be in life today.

Jessie J comes to mind. Who You Are is a pretty decent pop album honestly.

 

Also Ed Sheeran. Plus is his only good album (though it aged badly).
