musictowatchboys Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Jack Antonoff could never give us Kill Kill, Oh Say Can You See, or Pawn Shop Blues. 7
RIP ivory almond Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 hear me out what if lasso is actually not a true record/album but rather a theoretical and notional album that is presented to us as a conceptual form of art where the "lasso" is the album trying to enclose/encircle material, as artists like Lana are demanded to capture by fans, but just like the looped rope, there is nothing within the lasso, and therefore, there are no actual songs on lasso 9

Pico Ocean Boulevard Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Am I wrong or is the David Kahne and Jack Antonoff discussion new Also another fake tracklist, AKA slander Oh Lana wake up and do something 4 "Swan Song. It’s on my album Honeymoon. It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon."

So far, I think Jack’s work with Lana isn’t, although NFR and OB were, to me, the best out of the three (and they both have in common that there were other producers for at least four other songs, so…). True, some songs on CoCC sound like what he did with Lorde, but not the vast majority of it (he honestly is way more repetitive while working with Taylor, but that’s another debate altogether). And like you mentioned, each album with Lana brought masterpieces and career highlights, so I’m not against Jack but I also like when others are brought on board. 3
