Hey LanaBoards and Lipsters, I missed you all so much! So excited to see the forum come back! The new layout really looks new, modern and fresh, a lot more smoother. The thread design reminds me of ATRL a bit! I'm really glad that the bugs regarding liking and the lagging overall have disappeared. The app update is really exciting news as well!

 

Thank you, @Elle for your hard work and dedication, it doesn't matter that it took such long time because browser/server updates such as this really seem to be difficult that I can't even imagine since I'm not really tech savvy. 

 

Is this the first major layout update since late 2020? I remember watching LanaBoards through the years via Wayback Machine and the forum index and thread layouts compared to esrly 2020 and late 2020 were very different.

Yes! I’ve implemented minor updates here and there over the years, but this is the most intense update that involved overall layout changes since our 2020 update. Though, I do remember that update process was also just as grueling as this one and also spanned over a couple of days LOL so I guess this process is just never as easy as I first expect. At least that time I had more competent people helping me, a big part of what caused the delays this time was just my hosting server company that was meant to help me with certain things taking hours at a time to respond to me. My hosting server company used to be incredible until they were acquired by another company a little over a year ago, and things have really gone downhill since then. As far as their new team goes, after this experience, Raqel needs a raise and literally everybody else needs to be fired lmao x

remember the pre-Elle era when Lanaboards used to be down for a few days every couple of weeks and GagaDaily used to be a better news source on Lana as a consequence?

I love this update!! Thank you so much Elle, can't imagine how stressful that must have been. Also I love the layout and how much easier it is to read! I usually use the UV themes but was having trouble reading things like titles. Also also omg an app!! she looks so cute thank you again for all your hard work, it’s paid off<3
