Just a few recommendations based on those genres, you might know some of them already some of them are seminal albums. Definitely look to the 90s and early 00s for a lot of the best slowcore stuff  :defeated:

How did you find this actual preorder? If you go to the music portion of Lana's Universal site, this is not shown with the other preorders.

Edit: I literally checked her site about an hour ago and didn't see this. It's still not shown

The link got emailed to her "top fans" on Spotify, it's a private listing on the site

A surprise would suggest we didn't know the album existed, she has given us the album title, a potential release date and a teaser of a single. This is no longer a surprise drop!

There's no way this album is coming on the 4th... Like I've said before, her team and label won't want to miss out on the physical first week sales. We all know there'll be 5 vinyl variants, 4 cassettes, CDs with exclusive posters etc. I'm hoping we'll still get the album in September, right now though I imagine it'll be later in the month - if not early October.

Vinyls and cassettes for LFL didn't come out until October so I wouldn't rule 9/5 out purely based on that theory

  5. just release it and announce the tour for 2021 aka what everyone is doing oh my god this woman. Nobody is using the pandemic excuse anymore, we all know you can't tour rn but what difference does it make lol

Until she can "properly" film and perform live again... who knows when that will be. Idk how she can just sit on this stuff for YEARS. I wouldnt be surprised if she just scraps the album at some point because she "grew tired of it" or "doesn't reflect her current feelings" or some shit.

I'm sort of screaming at her using the video/promo excuse when DL got none of that (apart from one random performance in Korea?  :rip: ) I mean hell just do a Lana and get your boyfriend to film the video on his iPhone, it's not like Capitol are gonna give her a budget anyway

And yeah, the Masochism she started making in 2014 is clearly completely different to the Masochism that exists in 2020. I really wouldn't be surprised if her label just dropped her at this point. I wonder if she's ever actually made any money for them  :deadbanana:

  6. TJF sounds like a regression for her lbr

I hoped she'd stay heading in the neo-psychedelia/art pop direction of Venice Bitch/The Greatest and Cinnamon Girl's outro. After her IG meltdown I'm worried she's writing immature BTD style lyrics too. NFR sorta cemented her as a serious artist for many people with music legend potential and it looks like COCC could derail that ascent to iconography. I hope I'm wrong.
