I really don't get the "trying to be cool" feeling from most of the songs on TR (maybe one or two) but rather the IMAGE she put out during that period, if that makes sense. The whole "my album is like a wicked tumblr" vibe with the slime fonts and the nuclear / destruction kinda shit. 'Cause lyrically it's a bunch of love songs & sonically it's just great electro pop with a bit of an edge. I don't understand why Charli is so opposed to it now. Embrace your roots.

Ok? If the music is good, it's good and we'll be happy. BTR isn't very good and lately she's been really contradictory & kind of brash in interviews. Tired of y'all with the attitude like we're all elitist hipster douchebags just because we don't agree with or like all the decisions she's made lately. Maybe you don't mean it that way, but that's how it sounds and plenty of others have given that vibe off lately so.

I had a dream I was at that show & she did Gold Coins and it sounded like... A punk Hawaiian dance groove thing. It was amazing but her voice totally sounded like Lana's at parts. Anyway all these good words of the new songs live is giving me a bit of hope! a bit more excited now. Lol also in my dream, she was doing all this crazy gymnastic shit on stage. Backflips and cartwheels midsong.. & the crowd was so dead the whole time. They were actually sitting down in neat formations. and then towards the end, music stopped suddenly and she left without a word bc apparently she broke something during the show and the venue was pissed at her lmao.

Peace Sign is probably my favorite song from her, with Siberia a close second. Edit: Oh, it just came out today! I'm not tooooo far behind.

Calling something generic is not an opinion, at least not in the case I'm using it here. Chorus breakdowns are a VERY common thing in pop music right now. It's been common for a few years, really. So no, my comment on BTR's generic chorus breakdown is not an opinion because it does have the commonly used breakdown. & maybe uninspired wasn't the word I was looking for regarding the lyrics. "Simple" or "bland" fit them better, I guess. You can say that's an opinion but when you compare BTR's lyrics to almost any True Romance song, it is factually obvious that TR is lyrically superior in terms of emotion, creativeness & lyricism from an objective standpoint.

It's not an opinion that BTR has a generic radio chorus breakdown and uninspired lyrics. Like do you need a comparison between BTR lyrics and almost ANY song on True Romance??
