  1. Isn't it weird that Lana has stated she doesn't know who Greg Banks is yet Blake clearly knows him

    Well Eclipse said Lana said.

But then again I don't want to get that whole mess started again! omg  :toofunny:

That's true, but there's defintley something going on

If one day I meet her, I swear:

"I've got things to tell you, like 'I know that you're a liar'!"  :point:

Well, if she lied, then maybe could be:

    1. Just to protect the infos of the new album, since it's not ready to drop yet.

    2. Or she just likes to lie. ("You're careless con, you're a crazy liar"  :cryney: )

  2. Bel Air - Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door ("So I run like I'm mad to heaven's door")

Cruel World - Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa's Young, Wild and Free ("Because you're young, you're wild, you're free")

Body Electric - Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot ("Drop it like it's hot in the pale moonlight") and Grand Ole Opry ("Grand Ole Opry")

Go Go Dancer - Snoop Dogg's Drop It Like It's Hot ("I drop it like it's hot, on the pole, on the pole")

Ultraviolence - It could be a reference to Joni Mitchell's Woodstock or just a reference to the festival. ("We could go back to Woodstock").

Swan Song - The Art of Non-Fiction by Ayn Rand talks a little about "The White Tennis Shoes Syndrome" ("Put your white tennis shoes and follow me")

"Years ago I read an article in The New Yorker by a writer who described what she does in the morning before writing. What she describes is universal. When she sits down she knows she does not want to write. Here is what her subconscious does to 'save' her from that difficulty. She thinks of everything she has to do. She continues in this way until she runs out of excuses and has to start writing. But suddenly she remembers that last summer (it is now winter) she never cleaned her white tennis shoes. So she cleans them. That is why I refer to this syndrome as the 'white tennis shoes'. "

    ^So relatable  :icant:

  3. I was listening some snippets that I didn't hear before (not a good idea :icant: ) and I had this impressions:

Diet Mountain Dew Baby looks like a song that would play in a animation movie from Disney (Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, these types of movies :flutter: )

Me and My Boyfriend reminds me of Feeling Good by Nina Simone (again :flutter: )

Dance for Money kinda reminds me of You're Gonna Love Me (one more time :flutter: )

Oh, and Caught You Boy looks like a song that would play in a Disney teen movie from 2005 or 2006, I think. :flutter:

Why the fuck Lana songs are reminding me of Disney? photo.jpg

  4. OMG YOU MAKE ME TOTALLY BLUSH YOU TELL ME THING I FORGOT ABOUT! i love you

but isn't "I'm on Fire" just a regular sentence that also happens to be Bruce's song? :)

also - "dancing in the dark in the pale moonlight" - i always think about that Joker's quote "have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?" IDK what are your thoughts? :)

I'll add Dolly and Biggie references later!

I saw once that her favorite Bruce Springsteen's song was "I'm on Fire" so I thought it could be a reference because she likes to do this in her songs. And about the "Dancing in The Dark", was because I searched for some Bruce Springsteen songs once and I found "Dancing in The Dark. Then I heard Summertime Sadness and realized the "Dancing in The Dark" lyric there, which made me think: "Could it be? :um2: ". But I really don't know, I just thought that could be a possibility since she likes to do these little references in her songs. :lel: I also didn't know about this Joker reference. But I think it would be much nicer if this quote was the real thing behind the "Dancing in The Dark" lyric because I really liked it!  :flutter:

  5. it's already there :) <3

as The Beatles fan, and Nietzsche's fan and... "A Streetcar Named Desire" fan I feel ashamed, thank you, tho :*

about Brolin... I've added him but there are different lyrics to that on different sites... same thing with "Go Go Dancer" - there are lyrics versions with "Tupac's sweetheart" and "Jukebox's sweetheart"  idk which one is right tbh...

Haha you're welcome! Here are more:

"Dancing in The Dark" and "I'm on Fire" are Bruce Springsteen songs.

Summertime Sadness - "Dancing in The Dark in the pale moonlight" and "Baby, I'm on Fire"

Sad Girl - "I'm on Fire, baby"

Body Electric - "I'm on Fire"

    Lolita references:

Noir - "I'm his little Dolly"

Girl That Got Away - "Dreaming 'bout your Dolly, sweet Dolly dream dream"

"Dolly" is the nickname for Dolores, Lolita's real name.

Oh, and you forgot to add Biggie Smalls in Teenage Wasteland ("You play me Biggie Smalls") :)

  6. Gods and Monsters - Friedrich Nietzsche ("God's dead")

Cola - The Beatles ("...in the sky with diamonds")

Carmen - Carmen by Prosper Mérimée and an opera of the same title by Georges Bizet (plus a movie starring Beyoncé  :beyonce: )

Edit: I forgot to add to Carmen - A Streetcar Named Desire (1951 American drama film and 1947 play) ("That's the little story of the girl you know, relying on the kindness of strangers")

  7. Just popping in to see how everyones doing?

I'm a little nervous, but I think I will try to stay hopeful. I saw a comment saying that everything would pass for the senate before approved (I think, can't remember that well) so I think I'll lean a little on that...

And I'm sorry if I look naive or anything, it's just that I don't like losing my faith in things...  :xcry:

  8. So Donald Trump said that the elections were going to be rigged... and now I agree... there is no fucking way that there are this many foolish moronic idiots that voted for him, like...  :creep:

The worst part is that actually there are!  :icant: All around the world and the ignorance and stupity of these people makes me so indignant and sad!  :icant:

  9. LANA DEL REY : Subversive

    1. FUCK YOU DONALD TRUMP

    2. CHEETO BITCH

    3. LOVE YOU HILLARY

    4. I MEAN YOU DID BAD SHIT BUT YOU'RE STILL THE BETTER CANDIDATE

    5. FUCK 3RD PARTY VOTERS

    6. IF YOU VOTED FOR DONALD BLOCK ME ON INSTA

    7. HONESTLY IM HURT

    8. I TRUSTED YOU TWINK BITCHES

    9. SWAN SONG (FOR REAL THIS TIME)

    10. EVERY WHITE MAN GETS HIS WISH

    11. RIP A.M.E.R.I.C.A.

and we only get 11 tracks because Lana is so mad.. she had her BTD/UV sounding album already recorded if Hillary had won ):

RIP A.M.E.R.I.C.A actually seems interesting for me...  :oprah3:

Well, it looks like I'm actually going to get drunk tonight! God bless y'all! Be safe in this horrifying new era!

Take me with you! :defeated: I don't even live in U.S, but these results made me feel nervous!  :defeated:

  10. The fact that Subversive is a possible theme in the upcoming album excites me so much.. I never would have thought Lana would top the 'Ultraviolence' theme but she really managed to find another intriguing word..

'tending or intending to subvert or overthrow, destroy, orundermine an established or existing system, especially a legallyconstituted government or a set of beliefs.'

Hopefully based off of the definition we will get a more rebel like side of Lana, and less of the victim side.  :godlaugh:

Do you guys remember the Instagram that's followed by Ben Mawson and Blake @notoriouswhitegirl ? Some ppl think its lana and this is probably a huge ass reach but don't "notorious white girl" and "subversive" have very similar themes? Unless I totally misunderstood the meaning of subversive lol

My theory is that Children of The Bad Revolution and Brooklyn Baby are close to revive in this album!  :oic:

    "Run for our lives

    They got all our chains

    Let's hope that we merge

    Create our own games

DJ's, rock stars, posers we are

    The new politicians

    They're celebrity editions

And it's so pornographic then it's tragic

    Nothing magic makes us free

To be what we wanna be, wanna be"

    "I'm talking about my generation

    Talking about that newer nation

And if you don't like it

    You can beat it

    Beat it, baby"

I don't know that much about decades, but maybe... 90's? (I watched a Kurt Cobain documentary once and I kinda associated  :lel: )

Imagine how tumblr will be if this is really true  :toofunny:

  11. For some reason I think Lana will stick to a one word album title like PD, UV and HM. I think a one word title really sticks. I wouldn't mind if 'Subversive' is the album title, it's interesting to me. But like another user posted, perhaps it could be 'Dreamland'.

i actually would love the album to be called dreamland

This is funny, I put that I live in Dreamland when I registered here.  :smile2:
