  1. At the moment: 1. Paradise 2. LFL 3. HM 4. BTD 5. UV 6. A.K.A.
  2. Although I wouldn't call that "one trick pony" but Lana's own "personal style". (Something many artists strive for but never achieve...)
  3. Yeah, definetely, you're right, and I always can understand people who don't like Lana since she and her music is a bit "special". But calling her a "one trick pony" is a bit stupid nevertheless if you look at all the (different) stuff she has done in her carreer. In the end it's all a matter of personal taste and every reviewer is just giving his or her personal opinion (although some reviewers act as if their opinion is "the right one"...).
  4. Germany's biggest weekly journal also reviewed LFL – it's a pretty mixed review, more on the negative side: http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/musik/lana-del-rey-neues-album-lust-for-life-lana-laechelt-jetzt-rezension-a-1158588.html The journalist calls her a "one trick pony" (although she obviousvly like(d) Lana's earlier music) which is really stupid, so I can't take this article too serious.
  5. "13 Beaches" comes in first, "Get free" is a close second.
  6. Actually I don't really know, since I haven't watched the livstream when it was live. Maybe there's more on YouTube.

  8. Really cool and interesting review, thanks, I enjoyed that!
  9. Now it's time to open the Post-Release thread I guess... (Maybe the last 100 pages of this thread should be moved there too since they are mostly about the (now) released songs.)
  10. Yay, LFL is finally available on Spotify in Germany (and most of Western Europe I guess)!
  11. German taste in music unfortunately most of the time pretty sucks...
  12. If you mean the b/w witchy one – that one's been out for a few months
  13. Positive review by the New York Times: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/19/arts/music/lana-del-rey-lust-for-life-review.html And a 4/5 from Pressplayok: http://pressplayok.com/albums/review-lana-del-rey-lust-life/
  14. According to this ranking tool this is my list (after one complete listen so it will probably change in the forthcoming days): 1 Get Free 2 13 Beaches 3 Heroin 4 God Bless America - And All the Beautiful Women In It 5 Love 6 Cherry 7 Beautiful People Beautiful Problems 8 White Mustang 9 When the World Was At War We Kept On Dancing 10 Groupie Love 11 Change 12 Lust for Life 13 In My Feelings 13 Tomorrow Never Came 15 Coachella - Woodstock In My Mind 16 Summer Bummer
  15. Btw I'm really surprised that Lana managed to have a diverse but yet cohesive album at the same time. Didn't expect that it will work out that well.
  16. You probably meant this review? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/what-to-listen-to/lana-del-rey-lust-life-review-pop-star-selfie-generationis-real/
  17. So finally I've listened to the album too – wow, I didn't expected to be blown away like that! I usually don't totally like Lana's albums at first listen but LFL is an instant hit for me. My favorites have to be 13 beaches, Heroin and Get free. The only song I didn'tlike at all is Summer Bummer but 15 good songs on one album is phenomenal anyway. And I love the crisp and powerful production of the songs and the atmosphere which is a bit more relaxed but still dark and melancholic. Just pure Lana.
  18. I really like their dark sound.
  19. The interview is really awesome and outstanding, I love it. But I'm a bit confused about the overall dark/melancholic tone of it – in the interview she gave this German newspaper she sounded way happier: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/9190-german-lust-for-life-interview/ Maybe it was because of the questions of the Pitchfork guy that she opened up so much, I don't know.
  20. Well but in the end who cares - this guy is a joke.
  21. Yes I hated that interviewer so much for that stupid article - he clearly was chosing the "I wish I was dead already" thing as a headline just to get clicks and to get noticed by other media. Unfortunately many people only read the headlines so that was bad publicity for Lana.
  22. The Pitchfork article + interview is really awesome; Lanas answers seem quite "raw" and direct, I love that. Now Pitchfork has to give LFL at least a 8.5
  23. Btw. German weekly newspaper Die Zeit (one of Germany's biggest and most respected, serious newspapers) just published a pretty positive review of LFL (for those of you who can understand German: http://www.zeit.de/kultur/musik/2017-07/lana-del-rey-album-lust-for-life ) It's quite a big deal to get such an article there so maybe after all Lana's new album won't do that bad with critics as some of us first thought.
