  1. She played the guitar for "Video games" at her live show last year in Montreux (Jazz Festival), but she didn't play it solo, just a few chords here and there while the band did the rest.
  2. Hm, it can be a pure coincidence but Alex Turner nowadays works with Alexandra Savior who sonically sometimes reminds me a lot of Lana...
  3. Is there a link to the recorded livestream? EDIT: Found this on YT – so the stream lasted only 16 secs?
  4. Yes that's weird – the article is good but the author didn't do a fact check... (And UV wasn't released 2013...)
  5. Didn't Lana say in the IG livestream that the record has some retro futuristic vibe to it? So there's maybe a good chance that the space aesthetic isn't just a thing she used for "Love".

    Lorde

I like the new single although it's really not THAT exciting.
  7. No, I only have the version with the beeps. I doubt Lana would do an official song with "it's Britney bitch" in the beginning...?? (But who knows
  8. Exactly. As I wrote two weeks ago I don't want a 2.0 version of any of her previous works. I'd rather see her taking risks with her music and with her style. But returning to Emile seems to be a step back to the (to my ears) overproduced BTD-era and the autotuned loon is fun on one song. Or two. Maybe three. But not on an entire album. I really like "Love" and "B.A.R." too, both are immediate ear pleasers, but tbh I still hope that the album has a few other sounds on it. For me Lana's best songs are those which I have to dive into to dig them and which, at first listen, I'm not enthusiastic about. There has to be something left to discover for me, even after 20 listens. I just hope that the label didn't push Lana into a safer sound (like Marina was pushed into working with all those "star producers" on "Electra heart") because the label was disappointed with the sales for "Honeymoon". But ofc it doesn't matter what I (or we all) want, we can't change the album's direction, it will sound as it sounds regardless of our opinions in this forum or elsewhere – so bring on the best american record, Lana!
  9. Or someone just converted the mp3 with iTunes to a m4a file.
  10. Actually there are a few albums where the title track didn't make the final cut – Marina's "Electra heart" f.ex. or "His'n'hers" by Pulp.
  11. Actually I'd rather see Lana losing some "fans" or streams than seeing her not standing up for her beliefs. (And she's done so very mildly until now so it's no big deal anyway.)
  12. Exactly – It's impossible for Lana to make music that pleases everyone in the fanbase because she has such a wide variety of styles ... and fans who prefer the one style over the other one – so there will always be some people left disappointed when Lana releases new stuff. I'm more into dark/non-Pop Lana, but I really like "Love" as well and am looking forward to what Lana has in store for us with the new album.
  13. I really loved Lana's accapella version of Salvatore at the Montreux Jazz Festival last year because the crowd was (almost) totally silent during that minute. That was a true magical moment.
  14. At least I don't listen to any of those acts you named there. It doesn't matter anyway what we are saying or wishing in this forum – Lana will do what she wants to do, if we like it or not. You can't force her doing promo stuff. It can get frustrating, f.ex. that she doesn't do a proper European tour (no festivals please!).

This is so great and absurd at the same time I was laughing so hard. Awesome. Maybe Poppy will react to this one too.
  17. I doubt the sound of the album will be psychedelic any more – she said in the BBC interview (http://consequenceofsound.net/2017/02/lana-del-rey-is-encouraging-fans-to-cast-a-witch-spell-on-donald-trump/): "She also spoke about the work she’s been doing on her upcoming solo album — a 15-month-long process — and how the LP originally started out as having “like, a ’50s, ’60s feeling, with some kind of Shangri-La, early Joan Baez influences” … until the political mess with Trump began to shake things up. “As the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found, like, lyrically everything was just directed towards that, so because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to, like, talk to the younger side of the audience I have,” she said. “I guess it’s just a little more socially aware. That’s kind of a global feeling.”" So she started from a 50's/60's sound and now it will be "updated" – so I guess it will be more Pop etc. But I'd love her doing at least 1 or 2 songs in a psychedelic style (she already did on UV).
  18. I don't think it will be political. She just said that it's more "socially aware" (whatever that means). You're right it's difficult doing a good album with a political message and you always will get hate from people who don't share your political beliefs.
  19. Yeah, the interview was quite pointless... At least we know that Lana's be a bit more "socially aware" on the new record.
  20. It's the revenge of the Illimuminati because Lana misused her powers on Twitter!
  21. Their first album is really great! Love that aesthetic. I'm not that overwhelmed by the second record though...
  22. So it's confirmed or just rumored the album will drop in October? Can't believe this, why would they delay the record that much when the first single's already out. I can't wait such a long time for the new album!
