I actually don’t think this album sounds like a combination of all of her past work. Of course there is elements of it, but I think it has to do more with that’s just her writing style and taste.

It’s funny because Kanye has been on Lana’s side since 2011. I remember when people would talk about how disingenuous her homemade videos where, and Kanye spoke about how much he loved them. She sticks by the side of men like asap rocky and the weeknd (like didn’t he start dating Bella Hadid when she was like 17).

Kanye has been in the public eye for what a decade and half at this point. He’s literally always been an outsider on the inside. He’s always said and done controversial shit. Why is anyone surprised that he still does, and more importantly why are they mad. I think it’s kind of foolish to look at artist for politics anyway. Artist have always had weird and stupid political messages.

Lana’s hyper fixation on Kanye is weird. That’s all.

If she wanted to do a longish outro, she should have just ad-libed it. Instead of trying to make a statement.

Ikr, I think it’s so annoying that it has so much trap beats on it. I like beats but it doesn’t need to be all over the track. It’s just annoying.

I miss being 14 and having the energy and time to look for leaks and download them, because at this point I barely have the energy to open my laptop. If it can’t be done on my phone it ain’t happening.

I love the length of Venice Bitch, but I do wish we would have gotten a proper radio edit of it. I would listen to it more but I don’t always feel like listening to a 10 minute song, no matter how good it is. I get what lana was saying when she said something like it’s a song for driving around to. Speaking of songs being longer than necessary, I feel like the last minute and a half of the greatest could have been axed. The lyrics don’t flow well and are painfully milquetoast. The piano is pretty, but it’s just pretty. I feel like the song would have more impact if it ended with ‘I miss doing nothing most of all’.

I have no idea what Illuminati rituals she did, but they worked pretty damn good. I remember when Lana’s lyrics where constantly mocked and torn apart, even her most innocent and unassuming ones.

Agree 100%, ultraviolence has to be my least favorite songs on the album same with mpg. I feel like all the singles from ultra are lackluster, the stand out tracks to me are the bonus tracks. I think that’s why it’s been my least favorite album of Lana’s.

It’s not that production is messy. It’s clunky. None of the songs on lfl are clunky. It’s nice to see lana write about different things, I just hate Jack Antonoff. He’s not that great at what he does. I’ve said it over and over again that this will be her best album BUT jack can suck my ass because he’s shit! Period.

The Beatles have definitely been a big influence on this album. I hear on VB too. I wonder what other songs have that sound to them. I feel like the Beatles vibe is going over better on the nfr tracks than on lfl.

I want her to try different things as well, just not with a trash producer. I hope she doesn’t get trapped under jacks mk ultra mind control like the rest of the girls he works with. The reason I mention working with people she has worked with in the past is because I think Rick, Justin, and dan heath have been involved in some of he best released and unreleased work. I think they could bring the best out off these new territories that Lana is (poorly) attempting to get into. Mainly writing political or political adjacent topics. As much as I dislike Coachella it’s better than looking for america, and so are the other ‘political’ tracks from lfl.

Honestly feel like whatever is happening to tswift is happening to Lana, like they rely way too much on their own tropes they created in their music. Recent songs that tswift has released have been really jumbled and cluttered and I feel that way about Lana too. Maybe it’s something to do with jack lol. As much as I think VB and MAC are some of the best songs in her discog, all the other songs from this era feel really jumbled. Hope is a mess, Looking for america (ik it’s not going to be on the album) is embarrassing, and the greatest is cringeworthy. Even though I really like fuck it I love you the production is messy and kind of annoying. I feel like the most promising snippet we got was bartender. I think this will be Lana’s most critically acclaimed album, and I think it’ll be one of my faves, but I pray to god that she will never work jack again. This is kind of how I feel about ultra and btd too. Like I hope she never works with dan or emile again ever. I feel she makes her best music Rick, but he is such a yes man and just does what lana tells him. He never pushes her to make something more interesting. I would like to hear lana work with Justin Parker and dan heath again.
