  1. Admittedly, I haven't heard a song by them, but I am not really excited to see them as Lana's opening act. :noparty: I generally don't like opening acts... I go to a concert to see the artist and being front row and looking directly into the opening act's eyes while being totally annoyed is rather awkward.

I can somehow relate to what you're saying. Even though I know being an opening act for the main artist can be quite beneficial for the minor band, I couldn't bare the thought of the audience thinking "When will you be done?  :judgingu: "

Anyway, I do however suggest giving the opening act a fair shot. They may surprise you, hey you might even discover them after the show (which ironically happened to me.) You will be seeing them in either case.

Why did I come to this thread again? Oh right.

HOME IS MY JAM. I HOPE THEY PLAY IT  :yesnod:

  2. I'm trying to get through the first game at the moment, I'm finding it so very repetitive :/ Not sure I'll keep at it tbh... are all the games like that or do they improve it?

Skip it. Move on to AC2 instead. It's a huge improvement with a bit more depth in the story and a lot more fun ;)

  3. Okay I saw this thread title awhile ago and I was like, "Great, more pictures of her leaving a damn hotel people are going to overanalyze the shit out of" and then I saw it on tumblr and oH MY GOD I AM PUNCHING MYSELF FOR NOT FINDING THIS A DAY SOONER.

    :hillary: Title changed.

Haha sorry. My bad. It was late, I was obsessing over new music (and also a video for that matter) and couldn't stand NOT sharing it here. So it ended up with just the title :defeated:

Thanks for the edit now though ;)

  4. Yesterday I finally decided to sit down and just listen to a couple of their songs. I didn't really know what to expect from them to be honest, but I'm so glad I did. I started off by listening to "I Don't Know'" and it was pretty good. In my head I kept thinking "yah, they probably only got one good song". So I opened "One Man Army", "Take another Ride", "Stray Cat" and finally "Home". I must say, they really surprised me. Can't wait to see them along with Lana on the tour :)

  5. I've been a member for a rough two months now and sometimes I do wish that I had discovered the forum earlier. As DUKE pretty much summarized very nicely when you're new to a community all you ever wish for is acceptance. I easily get quite shy and awkward especially since English isn't my first language. I constantly feel the need to keep up on comprehending most of the things being said here (even though it often isn't that difficult. It is however hard to pinpoint whatever's being sarcastic, genuine and/or internal sometimes, but I can live with that  :tea:)

I recently made the choice to support the forum because I strongly believe that I finally found home. It's just such a great atmosphere around here. And yes, you'll almost always see me finish my paragraphs with an emoticon. I feel so naked and exposed otherwise  :crossed:

They have no idea what it's like to seek safety in other people - for home to be wherever you post your thread.

  6. I probably forgot one song or another... #yolo :teehee:

    Sirens:

Although I have to admit I haven't listened to Sirens that much I gotta say all of them really. I can just start from the beginning, browse the web and before I know it I have no idea which track is playing in the background because all of them sound so familiar to each other to me. Except for Birds of a Feather, what went wrong there :awk:

    AKA:

    Oh Say Can You See

Such a good song to listen to when you're feeling down on an evening. *melodramatic* :hooker:

    Pawn Shop Blues

This song pretty much sums up my life as it is right at the moment. It's become pretty relatable for me.

    Yayo

I pretty much agree with everyone else on this one. Not much to say about it. Lana Del Rey Lizzy Grant = Yayo.

    Born To Die:

    Million Dollar Man

I remember the first time I sat down and listened to the whole album. This very song quickly became one of my favorites instantly. If any of you guys have seen Charmed and can remember that time Paige sang in that club to Nate that one time, then you get what I see when I hear this song. It's just sensual, elegant and soothing all at the same time. I just get this femme fatale moment  :defeated:

    *FOUND THE VIDEO*

    Summertime Sadness

SS was, is and always will be one of my favorite LDR song. It's so emotional yet pop at the same time. I wish I didn't misuse the word 'perfect' that much because this song truly is the definition of it to me.

    Paradise:

    Ride

I know... You probably expected it. But I can't say much more than the fact that I've recently dedicated this to someone I'll always love...

    Unreleased:

    Driving In Cars With Boys

So I've been having a thought lately just for fun sake: "What if Lana would take song requests when she's up on stage?" The first song popping in my head is this song. I don't really know why. Maybe it's because I want other fans that aren't that aware of her previous work to be enlightened with how great her songs are apart from BTD/Paradise *hipster* :derpna:

Anyway I feel like I can play this song no matter the occasion :legend:
