  1. Honestly Doin' Time is such a good song. The production sounds very interesting and I love the way Lana sings.
  2. OKAY YALL. I heard the other snippet from the festival and whew it sounded good af I love how you hear the harp and then it gets into the cool beat. And I love the way she sings 'tangeriiIInne" Now what's all this drama about Disney?
  3. While I agree with you there, it still doesn't seem fair of them to just completely disregard her art. We all know Lana is capable of giving us songs in all kinds of genres, they're just too lazy to seek them out.
  4. How are we being dramatic? Half of the shit these men are saying is pretty harsh, imo.
  5. Meh I kinda have to disagree here. Most of these men are in their 40's. Anyone with a brain (especially at that age) should know there is still good popular music out there, Lana being a perfect example of that. It's just that they'd rather stick to their 80's/90's macho metal bands and don't think twice to delve into other genres because they're both stubborn and ignorant towards the younger generation.
  6. Some comments from Sublime's Facebook. Straight old men are a DISEASE
  7. All we can hope for right now is an interview during the song premiere.
  8. I'm conflicted about this new song being for the documentary. On one hand, it's good that she's getting exposure from Sublime fans (even though some of them are pissy old men), but If it's not on the album then how much longer will we have to wait for the next single that's 100% for NFR? It's all very well that she is releasing Doin' Time, but she needs to be focusing on NFR and give the fans some kind of update, not spewing out these little side projects.
  9. Like another user mentioned, Jeff Buckley covered Leonard Cohen's song 'Hallelujah' and it ended up being more famous than the original (ugh, Jeff's power <3), and it was used to boost his upcoming album (Grace, 1994). Covers aren't bad, ya'll. I know we were expecting an original song but let's be optimistic here. It definitely has commerical appeal, which will draw attention to NFR not just from locals, but Sublime fans too. This could be a very good thing for Lana.
  10. I agree. But this is what's frustrating me now because I just want to know if it's actually on the album or not
  11. Do ya'll think it's still coming on the 17th? Lana said 'coming soon' but that was vague af so...
  12. Were gonna need more than a word, chief. What does this mean?
  13. Can Lana just be fucking clear in her captions and say "yeah this isn't on NFR btw" LIKE SIS USE YOUR WORDS, HELP THE GAYS UNDERSTAND!
  14. Think about it. This cover pretty much embodies the vision Lana had for the album. Summer, 90's RHCP surf influence. What better song to cover than this? AND to put it out as a single? Sure, I would have loved Cinnamon as a single, but this one ain't a bad idea tbh.
  15. I feel bad for all of you who aren't excited And I don't mean that in a condescending way btw.
  16. I think they meant amongst the younger fans who listen to Lana didn't know it was a cover.
