  1. If it's her saddest song she's written then heck yes, the melody seems v subtle, her voice is so raw & close to the mic, i feel like there's sumn in the background we can barely hear; I'm excited for it

I can't tell if it's a piano, guitar or some sort of synth in the background! I'm so curious to hear. I know we've only heard like 30+ seconds of it but it reminds me of Heroin a little bit

  2. Just wanted to say I just went to my 5th Florence show last Sunday and it was incredible :') Probably my second favorite show of theirs that I've been to, but I wish the setlist had an extra song or two from HBHBHB!!!!  (My first favorite would be the private Spotify show she played in Brooklyn, which I think I totally forgot to post about on here) <3

  3. Let me ask though

Those of you who have HBHBHB as your favourite,  is it the whole album,  or just certain songs?  Or like,  just,  what is it?  I love the album  but it feels less magical than both Lungs and Ceremonials

I like the record as a whole. For me, there isn't one bad song, deluxe version included. It's such an interesting record because there are bombastic, spitfire songs like Delilah juxtaposed with really raw stripped back songs like Various Storms and Saints. Also, the production and lyrics are perfect on every song!

Edit: it's also very cohesive in every aspect, unlike Ceremonials, which is only cohesive in how grand it is.

  4. My FIRST LISTEN ranking:

    1. Hunger
    2. Big God
    3. Patricia
    4. South London Forever
    5. 100 Years
    6. June
    7. The End of Love
    8. Sky Full Of Song
    9. Grace
    10. No Choir

I can't lie, I expected something a little bit different from this record. Either I got a really bad link or this album sounds like a big old demo... Regardless, I still really love it. The production was a little disappointing for me. It sounds like a very mature version of Lungs, which is an incredible record, but my least favorite of hers. 100 Years live is so much better than the studio version and same with Patricia, live and acoustic. South London Forever sounds so playful and young so I really enjoyed that one! I love the sentiment behind June, the lyrics are beautiful, but the production was a little disappointing. Same with The End of Love. Grace and No Choir are just..... very basic?

I have a feeling I will really fall in love with it when I hear the real version once it comes out on Spotify in my country.

    First listen review: 7/10

    Then re-listened and now... 8/10.

In comparison: Lungs 7.5/10, Ceremonials 9/10, HBHBHB 10/10

Got a High As Hope tattoo in Florence's handwriting! The phrase resonates with me so much (for personal reasons, of course) and I love the poem it came from that Florence wrote. Hunger meant so much to me, too, so getting this on my body meant a lot to me....

Also, got the Third Eye since that song has gotten me through the toughest of times and Flo has the same one! The tattoos are still healing so neither look perfect right now.s4uTl1E.jpg

  6. The song is really good but it could have been great if she had an extra verse. The production is pretty basic but her backing vocals really make up for what's lacking... I wish she did more rap collabs or just put out new music herself

  7. I hear both Ceremonials and Lungs in Patricia. It's beautiful.  Who is the artist she's singing about btw?  I feel stupid for not knowing a patricia.

And yes 100 years is v Ceremonials. High Hopes for this album as her BEST :oopna:

    It’s about Patti Smith!
