Does anybody know if we can stream the album on our subpop accounts yet?

    Taylor Swift

Yup, based on reviews here I thought I’d hate it but it’s been on repeat for me since release date. Not regretting my preorders after all, except I wish the 3 AM tracks were included on one of them
  4. Totally agree about jazzy trip hop psychedelic rock. Her voice really goes well with those genres
  5. I agree… I’m listening to UV right now and am still in awe of how original and beautiful it is. Nobody else was doing that and she practically made a new genre for herself. It felt so genuine. I miss her ❤️ don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Joni and Joan fan but I don’t want Lana to stay there forever. Honestly though she’s a grown woman and can make the kind of music she wants, I’m just filled with nostalgia right now

Same, I hardly slept last night either. Struggling through work right now :-/

I like the album. I need more time with it but it is better than Lover. Snow on the Beach was a let down for Lana but it’s cute and fits in with the rest. I’m really loving Carly’s new album though

I actually really like the album so far; only heard up to bejeweled before I had to turn it off to try to sleep (which I’m about to do now I swear 💤) snow on the beach works with the rest of the album when you’re not thinking about the addition (or lack of) Lana
  9. How is it considered a feature?? It just sounds like any old Taylor song…definitely underwhelmed

Man I’m really regretting my preorders now lol

Haven’t listened yet but plan to when it comes out tonight. Disappointed to hear though that this album doesn’t reflect her Folkmore albums; I thought she had a really great thing going with those lyrically and musically. What a shame to hear Midnights is possibly worse than Lover. The only track I really loved on Lover was False God. I enjoyed Rep and 1989 but Folkmore in my opinion (along with Red TV and ten min All Too Well) is where she shined. Seems she took some steps back based on comments I’ve been hearing…But yeah I’m setting up to be largely unsatisfied when listening time comes :-/
  12. Oh boy my internet cut off where I’m at at work. Now I see there’s two more parts. She wants us to not listen to the music that may or may not be leaked. Well I wont. I’ll wait. Man that’s terrible it happened.
  13. Part 2 cut off for me as well but damn this girl can’t catch a break. I feel terrible for her. That’s a lot of pages of a book to have to write all over again. I would feel guilty listening to any future leaks that come out knowing how upset she was that this happened. Might be a longer wait for an album now but her safety and welfare matter more than new music :-/
  14. I’m remembering Lana’s feature with Cat Power on Woman was background vocals; I barely heard her at all. And from what I know, those two seem to respect each other as artists. Cat Power was a major inspiration to Lana starting out... Wayamaya definitely had Cat Power vibes. I think sometimes being background vocals just happens that way whether it was Lana’s choice or not. The way Taylor announced the feature is what rubs me the wrong way. She built up hype for seemingly no reason? Having not listened yet, I’m sure the song will be fine, but definitely not what I would have been expecting. I guess it is just echos of Lana, which I will take because I like Taylor anyway, but again the way she revealed the feature as some big event is just a little odd to me. I love Lana’s features with others and The Weeknd, so we always have those I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Her album that came out last week is kind of cute…

    Tove Lo

Blue Lips is her best body of work, period. I’m listening right now and it’s still so fresh.

    Zella Day

My bf pointed out that the track Sunday in Heaven sounds a little bit like Harry Nilsson’s Sweet Pea’s Lullaby from the Popeye movie and I definitely think Zella may have gotten inspiration from that song, which to me is cute lol
  18. I personally love that she’s not posting a bunch of snippets so that by the time the album comes out, none of the material feels fresh anymore. I also love not getting false release dates. Like others above said, I love that she’s being mysterious again like she used to be; that was part of her allure to me, never knowing what she was going to do next and not knowing what to expect by the time I clicked play on track one of a new record. For example, for me, hearing Cruel World for the first time on release night was a time I will NEVER forget. Absolutely magical.
  19. music to clean your bathroom to? edit: whoops, my internet sucks where I am right now so the page didn’t refresh.. didn’t see all these recent posts lol

    Zella Day

Finally got to listen and GEEZ Sunday in Heaven, the track, is so short!! Wtf. That version she played live in one of her stories seemed longer? I never heard any of the leaks. But aside from the songs I already heard (which I’ve listened to a million times) I liked the album a lot… now moving on to Tove Lo’s new record

    Zella Day

Ugh I want to listen but my bf wants to watch tv with me wish he’d be down to listen to Zella right now
  22. Also remembering when she used a selfie for the single cover of Hope is a Dangerous thing…I mean it was fine, but I’m curious how it would be if she tried something different this time
