  1. I found your review very sound indeed! I personally rate Body Electric lower than Gods and Monsters I had very mixed feelings about the reverb on Yayo. It automatically felt like a "palm-face", botched kind of effort, but I can't deny that it adds to the haunting vibe of the song. And I have to say that, while its such an insignificant detail, the whisper-repeating of each line in the pre-choruses of Ride really bothered me, I felt that it was overdone, clichéd maybe? Did you ever review National Anthem? I would love to hear your take on that.
  2. Great content! To my knowledge, she had an outburst about disliking Muslims, and about immigration. I don't know her preference toward African Americans. It's a shame that she is that way. She was so iconic, so glamorous, so gorgeous.
  3. Phew! I'm so glad someone agrees. Its so sad, I feel that Paradise had so much potential. I like the darker cinematic turn, the vocals, the overall feel. But some of the lyrics were so weak. As I previously mentioned, the bridges were slapped together in such a pitiful fashion, they were all almost the same. Body Electric was just butchered! With the nature of the song, it needed to be more epic, and swooping, instead of an anticlimactic drone. I think maybe it needed to be a full length album, with time and care put into it. And the sound quality I really thought Blue Velvet was gorgeous though. And Ride, though it isn't perfect, is a beautiful song. I would just love to hear a more refined production of the AKA songs. Mermaid Motel remodeled?
  4. Tha lips tho I really should have considered her douchery rap sheet before posting this. Although I just wanted to share pictures and discuss her goddesslike beauty.
  5. Can we just appreciate the bombshell beauty of Brigitte Bardot s'il vous plais? I wish I would look like this on my wedding day... Brigitte Bardot, the very beginning of my plush lip envy
  6. My 2 cents... I think the live version of National Anthem is breath taking. I really want a copy of it where there's not someone screaming OH MY GOD LANA I WANT TO FUCK YOU SO MUCH for my collections. I don't like a lot of the unreleased tracks I don't really like the fluffy sound. I don't consider the AKA album to be a failed pop effort. I think most of it is very anti-genre. Fuck you hipster runoff! Body Electric live= Body Electric studio= I think a lot of the tracks on Paradise seem rather rushed. Some of the bridges are so mechanical I really prefer Lana's look when her hair was strawberry or auburn colored. The black is just too much. And I thought Lizzy's platinum look was really unflattering!!! Phew... That felt good.
  7. Ok so that was probably complete bullshit. And has fucked with my mind. But... Is anybody looking into the names that were dropped? >.>
  8. Ohhhh Beeeeee my darling, can I just get you to fix me a phone wallpaper? Then I will leave you alone for a little while I promise Can you add some text to this? Your font is so much better than my crappy ipad app "Baby love me cuz I'm playing on the Radio" And just keep all the dimensions for me. Thanks! xx
  9. Ahh, love! thanks!! Btw, the wallpaper you made sitar is amazing!
  10. I love her, but it really really upsets me that she cut and dyed her beautiful long, thick hair Has her album come out yet? It kept being pushed back and then I stopped following. She is a great vocalist. I wonder what her vocal range is
  11. New sig request please 1. Type of Graphic: Signature 2. Image(s) to be used: 3. Text: You say take it off, take if off... 4. Mood: Vintage, floral, royal, whimsical, cabaret 5. Border: nonspecific 6. Other Details: I know this is a popular one right now
  12. I know!! She looks breathtaking. I want to try wearing my hair like that! I love it on her.
  13. Did she mean they're not a fan of the new album she's currently working on? Although, she did state that her label didn't like Cola. Which could be the reason we didn't get it as a single.
  14. Hahaaaa swimming pool, glimmering, darling. Everybody complains about how For K Part 2 does not tie in at all with the first. Maybe I was actually onto something! and maybe it was sort of about Jimmy too, comparing him to Kurt. (Hence Rehab) Thanks for clearing that up. Is For K from Sirens a fan made title?
  15. Without You vs Trash (Miss America)
  16. What if K is Kurt Cobain Ok, I know, but hear me out. He's dead, she likes him a lot... I pointed out the "fantasy is my reality" in my previous post... Meh, ok. I also wanted to add that, as sick and sad as it is, I definitely think Lana has been in a (or a couple) abusive relationship(s). Too many of her lyrics suggest this. Million Dollar Man, I definitely think is about K. I have 2 interpretations of Moi Je Joue. It could possibly be about K, and what makes me think this is the "glimmering by the swimming pool" line, as I feel that Off to The Races is about K. And don't be bad babe. Or, what if it was about Mike/Van/other record exec type? Doesn't mean you can't jump in and get cool... Could that be either alluding to an other woman situation, or sort of taunting somebody important? Just because you're tied down, doesn't mean you can't dip your feet? MJJ is so interesting to me, I just love Brigitte Bardot's original. I wish we could have the Lana one remastered, or better quality. Here's another wacky thought that people are going to hate. What if Sirens really wasn't from 2006? What if it was a side project along the time of AKA, just before it, or even as she was writing BtD? I mean, how do we really know? -edit- Diamond Dave, and Ray Late... Are there any clues in the Ride video? Is Old Daddy K? He's Mike isn't he
  17. Relinquish the beautiful garment or stfuz!1 Or name your price big boi
  18. I need that sequined pearl embellished jumper. Naow.
  19. singing fascinates me. Glad I could help, with the little knowledge I have
  20. She probably practiced and experimented until her lower range thickened. Age could definitely be a factor, because, I was told that with enough practice, anybody can sing high, but each person will only be able to sing so low.The reason for this is, as you sing higher, your vocal chords constrict, getting smaller the higher you go, even to the size of a pin (during a technique called "whistling", youtube Mariah Carey doing this, it's quite fascinating) But as you go lower, the chords stretch and relax, so you will only be able to stretch them to a certain extent, unlike how you can push yourself to sing higher. That is why, if anybody sings, you will notice that you will be able to access your lower range better when you've just woke up, because your vocal chords haven't been used yet, or late at night when your body is relaxed and tired. That's also partly why it's important not to strain your voice. Infact, if I've been yelling, crying, or singing for a long time, I lose easy access to those lowest notes. And when my vocals are feeling nice and relaxed, I can sometimes even croak out a B2!
  21. Cool! Well, I kindof was playing around with the idea in my head earlier, because of her so well delivered high notes, but I think you're right. Also, I read a comment on divadivotee that explained the difference between mezzo and soprano.
