I gotta admit i miss that weird synth from the leaked version for dealer. im thinking if she were to release videos she'd probably just release them w no announcement like hope, or we'd have to wait a longer time post covers album. i actually think this just might be my most favorite Lana record. undoubtedly actually. the yellow cover's been growing so much on me, it just connects and for me at least, reps the overall feel of the record. i think intuitively, listening to the album the first few times i already got how things connected and it was just so powerful, and what's better about it is that the music on this one just seems like it was made for some kind of eternity, it has a feel of being eternal. it's gentle, it's flowing, but still leaves a kind of imprint. i'd love some more music from Lana ofc, but I think it'd be alright if this was her last album as her own artist/ Lana Del Rey. It feels like she's already said all that she's wanted to say with her career (at least so far?). the point is, the album's strangely contenting and powerfully fresh and overall, serene. I feel very proud to have this on my shelf when the vinyl finally gets to me

i think it's really about being able to control bc people don't like what they can't readily understand/ haven't seen before. n the collective sorta just defeats itself cus the world is pretty messed up, so good things are kinda well put down. hope is dangerous and tiring thing. it's a whole journey of lots of flashes and can get really confusing and easy to get lost in, and at the scale that she's had to overcome, it's not an easy feat, but she has or at least is. i think bottomline, it really is important for a person to be able to be self-aware and know themselves to change to be better before wanting to change the entire world first. another reason why i like her as an artist is that she respects the concepts and importance of emotion. sometimes losing a good thing is the only way of knowing what was once had, it brings a lot more clarity. i do think from a subconscious level that the album's real great for society yeah, at social commentary for putting your best foot and face forward. i think it's beyond ego too, it's, filling an actual need, essential. n yeah I defo agree, I see a lot more serenity if anything and if so, i'm real extra happy for her

was listening to this album with the cloudy weather, fall-time. tears. the arcadia vids and the title track's really fleshed out another dimension of bb the song and album. i hope we get more performance vids, and maybe contro-opinion but i'd really love more homemade vids. even if it was later, a trailer too. it just crowns an album imo

I think she wanted to be loved for who she is, not what was defined of her, and in that process, she explored more of herself and realized that that's what's more important to have. how with things can be stripped away, she knows that her soul will always be happier and shine through. it can be difficult to sort of define yourself as a person alone, especially when ur used to being defined as someone's other instead of just yourself. I think the album definitely does a great job of assessing those deficiences/missing things and in the end she still chose to be able to love, even if her loyalty wasn't returned and she herself wasn't appreciated.

think it's great that she's solidifying her career even more with the covers album. she breathes new life into the songs she covers so there are only positives w them she's got her poetry to continue and grow, specs about a musical. more movie soundtrack tracks. i'd really like to see her work as some kind of film director. her music as well know's pretty much like movies for the ears so it'd be really nice, expansive and also impactful to see what she might choose to create stories to watch. there's a prominent dignity to bb more so than her prev records in a way that's closest and of her, so i wonder how much gravity the next one will have bc of how solid bb sounds of the self, and her distancing from the spotlight only adds intrigue to it. also there's just a lot to take in from bb already that i kinda wonder what role she'll be taking on for it following after the spotlight of being a new aunt. I wanna see n ofc hear her thrive past the kind of uncertainties that bb accents, through something similar to dtwd's overall vibe after a few years if bb's as curtains as it currently feels. maybe she can sing of that love that's always kinda eluded her for years and all sorts of other things that add happiness to her life, or that finding happiness is the way maybe have a b sides release of some of her unreleased before taking on another actual fresher material album. atm i kinda just see her doing more charity work so i wonder how that'll translate w how she does it bb more and more feels like an exploratory period -
im dumbfounded about this record. the parallels of fame, concern and love weave together beautifully. then u think about the multiple uses of diff perspectives prism'ing, how it all feels, what it all means. there's a stillness and vanishing about this album where sometimes it feels sweetly warm, and other times feels like a ghost. when she was on the tractor in the bb mv singing about her man being there to sort of getting back to reality, that really pained me to see. the waiting in the storm. the flashes of ache from the bellies of uncertainty. the choice of where to go next not being granted to her but being taken into fate's temperamental hands. the bottomline is that it's a very gracious album that captures the sentiments of someone giving theirselves a voice, keeping the past respectfully protected & filed, that's founded on understanding that we should focus on the things that we can control ourselves rather than wanting to change the world through just our own focus altogether. it gets me thinking about the soul, what people do and how we do things as a species. how sometimes, consumption consumes us instead of truly adding to our lives, whether that be banked in ego, or translated through recklessness. how popularity reigns in high curved waves bc love is easily accessed and funneled, than cultivating patience and seeing beauty in everyday things. or just the paradoxical nature of better understanding how things were only after being lost. i think maybe she's feeling real proud of being able to accomplish what she has, but also pretty disheartened bc her message about the importance of reflection and softness got compounded. I understand that it's a very cruel, brutal and dire world out here, it gets me sad thinking about how softness thins out, and everyone's out for the next big thrill. which, for the latter, perfectly ok, but to what end? and back to the album, how it was made, and what it's about, i think it's a really admirable piece that defends the concepts of freedom, security, and love. it's like a secret code of staying graceful under pressure and moving truthfully to yourself so that maybe others can follow suit their own ways of their higher selves.

I weirdly enough, love the yellow vinyl. it reminds me of like a half made egg yolk in ramen, or like the sun it's cute imo
