  1. edit: I figured out what I was trying to say but in better words now: I don’t expect her to “bring back” the sound of any of her albums, tho I love all of them. I want something new, fresh and unexpected, like happened with Honeymoon and Venice Bitch (the first time o heard these songs I was like “wow”)... what is done is already done, I love UV so if I miss it I play it, but I don’t want another record to be like that
  2. I guess something like this could also be her direction for this record: I think it’s beautiful, and it is what the title reminds me of
  3. I have already said that a couple times but I think this album will sound a bit like Carole King’s Tapestry... the title ‘Let Me Love You Like a Woman’ for a song was already giving me that vibe, and now the title track is also evoking that stripped down sound... so I can only expect Hope-esque piano songs! edit: and I’m glad with it! Tho I would like to hear some heavy guitars as well
  4. Lust for life gave us amazing visuals and... well, personally I don’t think it’s a good record
  5. I kinda wish she won’t be on the cover this time The main reason she is so criticized is because she is in a certain way a mainstream artist, even tho she doesn’t have big hits. Maybe go a little off the radar would make better for her mental health, you know? I mean, if she went full alternative would be good
  6. I don’t know why but I think the music will sound more like folk on this new record Ps: love the title!!
  7. I’m kinda worried... Diana, Marylin and Sylvia died in the age of 30s, and she says “and here I am at 34 and what for?”
  8. Is anyone writing down the poem?
  9. Love this new poem. There is music and rhythm in her voice while she reads it. This project seems to be very interesting.
  10. well... what the fuck Lana just stay quiet for God sake ... anyway
  11. Let Me Love You Like A Woman gives me huge Carole King’s Tapestry vibes
  12. And- After reading her letter, I don’t think she will make “sassier” songs or “back to her roots” songs I do think she’s going to make songs with commentaries about the injustice she went through, you know? Kinda like “Hope”... personal lyrics in which she will talk about the double standards she has faced.
  13. No hahaha a day in the life by the Beatles it’s called psychedelic doing much less than Venice Bitch. And even magazines called VB psychedelic in their reviews... but that’s not the point of my post anyway... whatever
  14. I mean, why she wants to take Cardi B as a model if she is way beyond her in quality already I hope
  15. Venice Bitch is very mature in sound... the bass, the fingerstyle guitar, the psychedelia etc.
  16. Of course I didn’t listen to the album yet and can make no judgements, but I trust her and I don’t think she’s going to release songs like Carmen and Gods and Monsters and Sad Girl anymore, I mean she’s 34 and she’s becoming a legend with her more mature songs, why would she throw it all in the garbage?
  17. I really want this album to sound like Mariners Apartment Complex and Venice Bitch... like, she’s a grown woman, why does she want to sound stupid like girl Ariana and Doja... she was doing fine with the progression on her lyrics and sound, please dont go back!
  18. I was listening to Carole King’s Tapestry and I think maybe that’s the direction Lana wants to take on this album?
  19. Hi guys, so I’m back on Lanaboards after a few months and I’ve been listening to NFR on repeat since it’s release. Now I can say that NFR is my favorite album ever, and MAC is definitely my favorite Lana song!
  20. Hi guys, I don’t know if my post went right bc I was in mod queue, so I’ll say it again just in case it didn’t I think California is for Francesco Carozzini, bc he’s Italian (if you come back to America), and he is a magazine photographer (I’ll pick up all of you vogues and all your Rolling Stones). What do you think?
