About Me
I achieved a 1st class degree in English Literature from Manchester University before going on to qualify as a barrister in 2002. I then joined One Brick Court, where I practised media law and worked for a wide range of clients, from the Maldives to David Hasselhof.
Tired of wearing a wig and keen to combine my passion with my job, I joined SSB in 2007. I advise recording artists, songwriters, producers and managers on all aspects of the music industry.
I also have first hand non-legal experience of the music industry, having run my own independent label, managed an artist and also as a promoter/DJ. With a broad range of contacts across the music industry I am particularly well placed to give practical as well as legal advice to those in the early stages of their career.
