I don't think Interscope will have to "work hard" to make this era into a success at all. Born to Die was on the top 25 most sold albums of 2013 and it's still on the Billboard top 200 even though it was released two years ago. And sure the EDM remix was more of a success but the original still did well and the album's longevity prove people are interested to hear more than her remixed singles.

The fact that "stan wars" culture is now a constant presence in music publications is sad. There is really no point in publishing a list like this besides the blantant shit stirring.

The Oscars have already decided the song is eligible so I'm not getting the whole point of this discussion (unless I'm missing something)

It all just bogs down to exposure, I guess. The Golden Globes are televised while the Satellites are not. So Film Industry people and actors are more likely to go to the Golden Globes to promote their film there. Getting an Oscar nom is all about the right promotion and the Golden Globes are a part of that.

So why are the Satellite awards not prestigious?
There's a lot of history behind it, but this article from just this year pretty much explains it.
The film landed five nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Director and Actor. Had they seen it? After all, it's only screened for guilds and HFPA so far. Turns out, according to sources, no, they haven't seen it.
The studio confirmed today that they neither submitted nor screened "Wolf" for Satellite Award consideration. And specifically, Van Blaricom, I'm told, didn't see the film. So chalk its mentions up as what they likely are: an attempt to get people like Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio to show up at the March 9 ceremony. And you can probably apply similar logic throughout, whether the films were seen or not. As a result, the organization's list of nominations — which basically reads like an Oscar predictions crib sheet ("Gravity" and "12 Years a Slave" led the way with eight mentions apiece) — loses any shred of credibility it may have had to begin with.
Most of these film awards are just politics but the IPA really take the cake in that regard.

Don't forget:
This performance is what made me a fan back in 2009.
These are great too. I think that Just Dance performance was a cover of a version a fan made but I can't remember his name, sadly.

All this confidence in the album title and it being released next year makes me think it's at least half finished. Which is weird considering all her recent comments about losing inspiration, taking a break, etc.
That clip from Brian's Instagram sounded incredible so I hope it's a song from the album.

Remastered Pawn Shop Blues with one loon call a second, hip hop beats and the Mary Jane sample played throughout the song please.
When I *SAY!* pawned the earrings *SAY!* that you gave me *SAY!* *hip-hop beats*

This is nice but Satellite awards basically mean nothing really. Most winners don't even show up to receive the award.
But I do think she's gonna get nominated to the Golden Globes at least.

I love her voice. She always brings a weird country tone to anything she sings that makes it really unique - this is good too.

Well there's an account on twitter that has evryone fricked out and says things like she's gonna be called Amelia and it's gonna be 33mn long and stuff.
I thought it was certain that Shaun and her are playing Adam and Eve? I mean the promo pictures are pretty clear in that regard.
