lol thank you. I’m not trying to bring down the mood but Lana has given us nothing so far and there is absolutely no sign anything will come out today. If there is I’ll be happy of course but I’m not very optimistic because there should have been an official announcement already by now.

I don’t want to be pessimistic but I’m getting mentally ready for nothing today…

It actually has when she released Text Book, WW and Blue Banisters. But that’s what she was angry at everyone and refused to do ANY promotion.

I might differ from some people on here but I’m really glad Lana is only doing the background vocals tbh. It’s already hard enough for me as a fan to know that she decided to do a track with Taylor.

I am so excited for this album to come out. Chemtrails was a bit of a disappointment for me, despite it being one of the best albums out this year. It was not on the level of NFR. But Blue Banisters really seems like a return to form and I’m glad Jack is out of the way. So far, she hasn’t released a single bad track from it and Arcadia sounds amazing (on the level of video games).

I’m confident this album will be amazing. Chemtrails was her least good in my opinion because it just felt like Norman leftovers (some songs were great though). So far this new project feels so much stronger musically and lyrically. Also that new snippet sounds so beautiful. Can’t wait to hear more!

Chemtrails was actually a pretty happy and contemplative album lyrically. Nostalgia and melancholia were still part of it but I found that overall, it’s her least sad record. Even the melodies are almost « joyful » for Lana. Thank God she’s going back to what I fell in love with 10 years ago : pure tragedy and sadness. I’m ready to be torn apart again after the three new songs.

Text Book is so perfect... I can’t even deal with how beautiful that song is. The lyrics, her voice, the production. A masterpiece. I know she’s gonna slay us with this album. Also, I don’t remember enjoying the lead singles from Chemtrails half as much so I have high hopes!

I still can’t get over how exciting this new era is already. The three songs are excellent. Chemtrails was nice but it kinda of just felt like a subdued extension of NFR. Lyrically I also found it to be Lana’s weakest work to date. Also one thing I love about this new era is the lack of promotion/interviews so far. She’s just letting the music and lyrics speak for themselves and that’s so much better. That way there can’t be any more controversies. I actually started loving Lana for that mysterious/removed from the lights attitude and I like that she’s going back to that.

Those three songs are so far superior to anything she’s put out on Chemtrails. Only comparison to Chemtrails is the non radio friendly sound of these tracks. I can’t imagine any playing on the radio. Lyrically, they’re Lana at her strongest and production is just right for us to appreciate Lana’s voice.

I’ll just clarify this then: 1. Lana posted something. 2. Some people like it. Many seem to think the post is problematic. It’s not a big deal 2. Nobody is cancelling Lana because of this post 3. We are allowed to think the post is not very tasteful and does not put Lana in the best light, at least according to what I believe is right. Lana is not God! If she was a friend of mine I would have definitely challenged her over the things she has said in the past year. Forgive me for having higher expectations from an artist I love so much.
