I admit I'm disappointed if it's really coming out late July rather than next week, but partly because these few months have been quite boring af. So if it's gonna take 2 more months to get the album out, I hope she'll release a couple more songs and be active somehow - yeah she's not gonna do TV promo or such, but she could just put Yosemite out for example and an accompanying video for it. If the song is like anything I've imagined, she could just pull a Chelsea Hotel No 2 kinda video for Yosemite. idk The silence etc has been the most annoying thing this era and the main reason why it's been such a mess. So if they're gonna make us wait 2 months more, it'd be cool if they made it a bit easier for us. The Honeymoon hotline thing was a fun idea even though not all of us could call it, considering international calls and such. It'd be fun if Lana did a Q&A sorta thing like Marina has done a couple of times (those "FAQin' Hell" videos) - it would be refreshing if she took some direct contact to her fans and gave us a little bit more insight on her thoughts on certain topics on a video rather than through magazine interviews. I watched one of her Instagram live "sessions" and it ended up being quite short, so I would love if she took more time to have one. And a preorder and snippet trailer ofc.

well the funny thing is, nope - with some domestic artists yeah but not with foreign and internationally well known artists etc. Or at least Honeymoon and ANTI are the only cases that I'm aware of. Even lots and lots of Zayn's albums were sitting nicely on the shelves when I went to a grocery store on the release day and early in the morning. Okay there's no denying how popular 1D was but I still found it ridiculous, since imo his target audience (at least in my country) is mostly young kids or teenagers who are more into Spotify than buying CDs. And since then I've seen lots of those Zayn CDs gathering dust on those same shelves even with major discounts. And I'm gonna have to say that I didn't see your posts about the situation of things in your country until after I had posted my previous one and tbh I feel kinda guilty complaining about something like that when people have it a lot worse than I do. I'm lucky and I acknowledge myself being privileged to live in a country where things are quite good and equality in all forms is evolving step by step - same-sex marriages became legal a couple of months ago, though church ceremonies are still an issue. As much as this sounds like a cliche, I really hope that the whole world could evolve and equality could come to fruition all around. I'm rooting for you

While I do understand the pros of releasing the album digitally first and physically a couple of weeks later, the thought just kinda annoys the shit out of me. Of course I'd always like to get the physical one on the release date but they really screwed up releasing Honeymoon on physical CD/vinyl here in Finland, for example. I got my Paradise box set and Ultraviolence box set right on time back when they were released, but with Honeymoon it took a week for me to find a physical CD - and that was from a record store company that has only a few stores around the country. And they had very limited stock amount of them at first, so I had to get my friend to get my copy bc luckily I was crossing one of those towns that had the record store and Honeymoon in stock. After I had been going to these big hypermarkets in my town on a daily basis and after I had found out that possibly the biggest hypermarket chain in my country didn't know shit about the album nor when the physical copies would come out. Of course when I finally got to hold it and flip through the booklet and listen to the CD, it was all worth the wait. But if they're gonna release LFL physically a couple of weeks later and the retailers fuck it up again, my worst case scenario is getting the physical album a month after the digital release. Yeah, I know this is somewhat selfish thinking and some people have it worse, but anyone who prefers physical CD over digital release can probably relate to this at least on some level. I hope. The same thing happened with ANTI and well, it being a Rihanna album, the delayed physical release actually even made it to the news lol. I got my ANTI from Amazon though and I got my copy before it came out here so I might just order LFL straight from Amazon this time too if it looks bad.

Hopefully someone will share the full Elle issue soon and enlighten us on the release date mess, confirming May 26th release I just don't believe in a July date, June is more likely, because the "coming soon" billboard really wouldn't make sense nor her mentioning that it's out this spring - and with Flaunt quickly mentioning the eve thingy it sure as hell isn't the eve of the album release if it's out in July... at least in my opinion Also the album trailer would've been released early af if July is the case. If we don't have a confimed release date and a preorder by the end of the week girl betta do a new song when she performs on Saturday(?)

I loved the shoot and article so I've been looking for the magazine where I live now with no success, however I came to visit my folks a few days ago and found it from the first market I walked in My earlier Lana mags are from the Paradise era bc I've always been more focused on merch sand stuff so I'm so happy to have this one now since I just love the cover especially can't stop flipping through it tbh

so album and possible 26th release = saved! lol jk kinda. It has actually grown on me enough so that I actually bought it this morning, at least to support her. It's a nice thought to release a bonus track for us while we're anxiously waiting for the record but it's a mess how she hasn't even mentioned the song not being on it, so we're left to find it out through Universal Music Poland... guess it could be a bonus track on the Japanese release or something tho but I can't help but feel a slight relief in the back of my head

Okay well it's definately not what I was expecting to say the least. And not as bad as what I was expecting judging by your comments, but yeah it's definately a filler song that probably won't make it to my playlists and one I'd rather skip when I'm listening to the full album. Now I like Love and LFL a lot and BAR is pretty good too, but I'm not gonna deny the fact that I'm a bit worried for the album rn. I'm having high hopes for Yosemite for example, but now I'm just wondering if I really should lower my expectations so I wouldn't be so disappointed if the album turns out to be not as good as I had hoped. Some of you guys said that she'd better make a heavier grunge-rock like record after this one and hell yeah I'm here for it - I actually hoped for Ultraviolence to be like that with the IG rehearsal video and all but I soon came to love Ultraviolence which for me stands out as her best record to date.

I got home a while ago, found the iTunes audio on Twitter, dowloaded it, and now as I'm trying to listen to the song properly for the first time (I listened to the skippy one earlier in a noisy car so I couldn't really make up anything of it) my freaking Windows Media Player keeps either crashing or not opening at all. This is the 3rd time I've restarted my laptop so we'll see how it goes now. boy it really doesn't seem like my wmp would like to let me hear it

Okay so I just got their reply and oh well. Fuck me with a chainsaw. They replied very briefly that they've put the album and release date up on their site accidentally (and now have removed it, I just checked) and that there's no certain date for the release yet. I'm not sure where the speculations about the release date being on May 26th originate from, but I really doubt they would put it up on their site based on some rumours hanging around the Internet - so it's probably a tentative release date that got leaked or something, or they're aiming for a surprise release and someone screwed it up at some point since some retailers have the 26th on their sites and so on. But then again we're talking about Universal's Finland department so there's no certainty on how up-to-date they are, and the same goes for the retailers as well. I don't know if there's any chance that Universal Finland accidentally put it on their site with the actual release date and are now trying to cover up their mistake by saying that there's no confirmed release date yet... If we're not getting it this month, it'll probably be out sometime in June though, at least judging by the Elle issue. idk

I don't think it was this dull but then again I could be wrong since I can't really remember that well either. But I do remember Shades of Cool, Ultraviolence and Brooklyn Baby coming out in June just before the album - can¨'t remember if SOC and BB were leaks though. The only things I remember for sure is that I listened SOC for the first time on that Russion version of Facebook and Lana uploading the Ultraviolence audio on YouTube. And I was really happy about the UV audio since I had been listening to a live rip so much Honestly though, if she released the video for LFL and at least one or two promo singles (Yosemite or TNC pls) before the album, I'd be more than pleased. But if the album really does come out in a couple of weeks then I really doubt anything as good as that happening this time, since we don't have any preorder or tracklist yet. So the July date is most likely just the date their supplier(s) get the Japan import. I'm just gonna believe and hope for the 26th nevertheless, maybe she'll just post the tracklist on Instagram by the end of the week or early next week along with the preorders. Idk. I don't really think they would've done those billboards and so on just for an album that's coming out in July... and I'd say that Universal Music actually having the 26th date on their site is pretty trustworthy. I'm not gonna lose my shit unless it turns out that they've been given wrong information or something like that. Lana better deliver a quality (yet not too pricey I hope) box set after this, since the Honeymoon one was clearly basically just the same as Selena and Justin's box sets lol
