Golden Hour

Doin' Time shouldn't be on the album from a cohesive standpoint (thus far) but is beneficial from a numbers standpoint.

Much to think about.

I haven't been this excited about an album rollout in so long. 

Is the UO artwork unfitting and bland compared to the standard? Absolutely. Did I buy it anyway? Absolutely.

Bought the fugly lime green vinyl without realizing there was a standard black version on UMG's website. Whose idea was it to do that? 

Does anyone know of a place that I can buy the vinyl in the US aside from her website? The mini covers as a big cover triggers me.

I’m glad she shot this cover. This album deserves an over the top cover that’s campy. On top of that it also has a concept and isn’t just her standing by a car looking at a camera like a lot of people wanted. The pained sky, the fire in the back, the american flag behind her, her holding this man, her reaching out to us, the 60s comic book text, it all fits. It’s supposed to be over the top and kinda tacky, it’s camp. This album’s called ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’, it has a 10 minute long song, it has a song with a title that’s 16 words long. A regular boring cover wouldn’t be right.

Does anyone remember how long it took for the Honeymoon UO exclusive vinyl to be put up? I wanna pre-order the vinyl tomorrow, but I can’t afford to pre-order two copies. Lol.

What if David LaChapelle shot the cover? A dream.

Some of the titles sound like a Lana Del Rey title generator and I'm beyond here for it.

I think it was just left field for a Lana cover, so it'll take time to settle in for a lot of people. 

The more I stare at the cover the more I love it. The wildfires in the background are kind of everything.

No news this week, but I feel like next week at this time we’ll have almost everything. A dream!

I think she scanned one of her empty pages and placed the selfie on top with a layer effect (+ ofc editing the photo so it has more washed out colors)

 

I tried it with the Honeymoon cover and the result is fairly similar (I had 2 minutes to do it so it's not the best but it does the job). For this image the Multiply and Linear Burn layer effect allow the textured paper to show up on the HM cover and then lower the opacity to your liking.
