what i meant is that charli recorded superlove as the lead single for her second album, but its direction changed shortly after superlove's release into something more punk inspired. it's important to note that boom clap was actually cut from true romance and then offered to another artist (hilary duff, legend) before it was finally released on the fault in our stars soundtrack. so at the time of boom clap's release charli probably had no intention of having it on her album, but its enormous success probably caused the label to ask her to rework the punk album into something a bit more dialed down and accessible so they could throw boom clap on it and still have it sound cohesive. so no, i'm not saying she redid the entire album in a few months (which is not a stretch by the way, she recorded an entire album in one day). i simply think it underwent a lot of changes and the reason it was delayed following boom clap's success was probably to rework the already nearly finished album into something a little less punk. also what sense does it make to delay an album until a song has fallen on the charts? the entire point of singles is to create buzz for an album. why would they wait until charli had lost some of her momentum from boom clap? it's a silly excuse if you ask me

did he say this is less out there than number 1 angel .................???????????????????? "fantastic mykki blanco feature"
-
i forgot about the "punk" album for a minute there lol. i feel like the superlove album probably evolved into the punk album (out of frustration, as she's said) and then she met back in the middle for sucker. i still don't believe that they delayed the album due to the success of boom clap, that makes absolutely zero sense. if the song was doing well, logically they would have rushed the album release if anything so they could strike while the iron was hot. a rework of the album due to boom clap's success does sound the most likely. there was one other song besides superlove i had in my itunes library at the time that i think was intended for the superlove album, i can't remember what it was though.

am i going insane or did charli have an album before sucker that she scrapped? i remember in 2013 there was an indication that her second album was going to be very superlove (it was the lead single at the time) but then the words "bow wow wow" started falling out of her mouth every 10 seconds and sucker happened. google reveals nothing to me, was there a direction change for her second album as i remember or am i off my rocker?

sucker aged so badly but is such a good album for its time. listen up! i ain't comin back! til i can fill the shack up! with all gold plaques!

people are doing xcxmas wish lists so... come to my party needs to leak in HQ this tomfoolery has gone on long enough. the song leaked in listenable quality like 4 months ago, someone is going to need to explain to me why a 320 kbps file hasn't leaked. there's no point in hoarding it the song is already out there everyone has heard it no angel + taxi + round and round too like those songs will never be released and it's been well over a year since she performed it so someone just leak them already (i only threw this) party for you needs to leak fucking immediately or i'm going to be charged for crimes let's wrap up the year of charli leaks with these bops and then let her begin 2018 in peace round and round is amazing, i prefer down like whoa. you gays better not eviscerate me for this
-
just popping in 2 say that nothing will ever be better than down like whoa

AG and life sim are the same person

i think back then the label honestly didn't care that charli was releasing vroom vroom on her own because they really didn't think it would generate any profit. charli only started vroom vroom recordings because atlantic didn't want to release it. it was her first venture into PC music and i think to their surprise it did fairly well, so since then she's been able to release more PC influenced music with atlantic. she also hasn't really had a chance to release anything with vroom vroom recordings; xcx3 before the leak was being treated as an album by the label so contractually she would have been required to release that with atlantic. and both n1a and pop2 were mixtapes and required minimal investment from atlantic whilst also keeping charli active and releasing new stuff without coming any closer to the end of her contract so i don't think it was a fight to release either of those.

i love unlock it but it sounds so out of place anywhere i put it in my charli library. it's too bright and bubbly for me to put anywhere near the mooder AG produced songs but it's too soft and sparkly for me to group it in with the harder SOPHIE ones. even on pop 2 when delicious ends it gives me like a heart attack every time because it starts so abruptly
-
like..... bop but i'm not here for the guitar
-
i heard somewhere that this was on the new xcx3 tracklist is that true... also i love all the talk of party for you in here on this day, it would really be a shame if it leaked
-
i added my fave songs from each into one album in my itunes library so i have basically my dream 2017 charli album
-
if out of my head gets promo and a video while dreamer got diddly squat i swear on my fucking life i will start a war number 1 angel > too cute / xcx3 > heartbreaks & earthquakes / true romance > super ultra > pop2 > xcxchange > vroom vroom > sucker it's the order of her releases i like most to least, i don't hate any of these albums so please don't come and burn my house down gays. also a while back i said i didn't like pop 2 and i actually quite enjoy it now. i still think that it's really messy though and could have been a lot better if it weren't for some of the features.
-
add party for you to this list
-
gorl are you implying hey boy hey girl is better than the entire leaked xcx3 album
-
i'd never seen the artwork for it that's so funny. queen of editing her eye colour on probably picnik

why are they just now releasing a solo version of dirty sexy money after they already performed it with french montana at the EMA's and the music video dropped literally yesterday with him in it... like i'm 100% down for the solo version i just want to know why lol also this is a super weird question but does anyone know if charli has like ever actually said her legal name either on camera or audio? to this day the name charlotte aitchison doesn't even feel real because i don't think i've ever heard her address once it in my 5 years of stanning
-
i'm pretty sure it's a custom font by timothy luke but red seven is close
-
this mixtape is so weird like i genuinely really did not like it yesterday and i've been replaying delicious on repeat for the past 2 hours today
-
it's been said already but how iconic would it be if after n1a and pop2 charli released an album and actually called it xcx3
-
dirty sexy money video is very cute good job charles i'm not going to do the n1a vs pop2 thing because to be honest for me there is absolutely no contest, especially without the features edited out. so here are my thots on the tracks instead backseat - underwhelming, we can all agree this is a flop. it's not bad but it's not good either out of my head - the laziest song on the mixtape in my opinion, alma should have kept it lucky - insanely boring to me, i have nothing else to say. i just don't like it tears - also boring. i know people like the screaming but it's a hard pass from me i got it - somewhat a slammer once pabllo vittar is removed. the chorus is just so fucking messy femmebot - a bit of a popper but also not listenable unless mykki blanco is removed delicious - even without tommy cash this song does not do it for me. i don't hate it but i definitely don't like it unlock it - second fave song on the tape; a masterpiece but again, not listenable unless jay park is removed porsche - i otherwise would not really care a great deal about this song but due to the fact that it is above average it is in my top 3 track 10 - the ONLY song i can listen to on the mixtape without any edits made. a diamond in the rough pop2 gets a 4/10 from me. it would be a solid 2/10 without blame it on your love.
