  1. @@buster Thank you!! I have 2 boys and 2 girls, 23, 24, 28 and 29, boys in the middle.

I have a question, what is the difference between VIP Nation and Live Nation?

I can log in and see my purchases in Live Nation, but when I log into VIP Nation, there isn't a purchase history....

VIP Nation is just the VIP part of Live Nation. They are the same company but VIP Nation handles all of the packages. That is who you will deal with the day of the show.

  2. @@buster @@Blue Jeans I would have bought Silver VIP Packages but it was May 30th when I received an email about the cancellation of the Dallas show, until then from May 9th, we were told it was just postponed. I still have the email, (I was an accountant, title clerk and business owner for 12 years, so I have a habit of keeping records of any documentation as long as they seem necessary) the phone logs, with date and time of the conversations, and the names of the people I spoke with.

So, by the time I was informed about the Dallas cancellation, the Silver VIP Packages for Atlanta were sold out. I was told that by purchasing the two Gold VIP packages, and with my VIP Pit tickets, we would be allowed to enter the venue before Silver, this was on the 4th, the same day that I purchased the Gold Packages from Live Nation. I informed them that I did not want a refund for anything; I simply did not want to use the assigned seats that come with the Gold tickets. She said it wouldn't be a problem, and we would be able to enter the venue before Silver, and would be escorted to the Pit. She was very nice, and even laughed a little when I told her I didn't want to use the assigned seats. She said, "Oh, you have 2 tickets?" I said, "Yes, we both do, but we want to use our Pit tickets" and we both laughed.

Also, at the Dallas concert, I didn't purchase Silver or Gold as far as I know, I did pay 971.00 for two VIP Pit tickets so, it's possible I did. We 'were' told they were all access, though. There was a mix up with my tickets also, first I was sent the wrong seats but they were Vip, and was told that the correct tickets would be waiting at the venue, (I did receive my VIP parking pass) then while driving to Dallas, I received a phone call and was told my tickets would be delivered to my hotel the morning of the concert. Again, we received the wrong tickets, this time they WERE Pit, but not Vip, so I called and was told to ask for Morgan, and our names would be on her Vip list. We didn't get to the venue until 7:15 so we just walked right in, no lines by that time of course. But the VIP Lounge in Dallas was AWESOME!!!! There was a DJ, flat screens, 4 bars, air conditioned sections, sofas, strobe lights, fog machines...very club like. We literally parked about 12 feet from the Ice House VIP Lounge entrance.

We're not constant concert attendees, the last concert I saw was in 2004 and it was Kiss/Aerosmith, and before that was my daughter's 13th birthday in 1999 to see The BackStreet Boys.   Haha!!!

My children are finally grown, and have careers of their own, so now I'm finally able to do things for myself again. No more ballgames, cheer leading, ballet, karate...it's like a new world for me after all these years. So needless to say. this is all kind of new to me, and that is why I seek the advice of you experienced, hip, wise, Lana fans!!! I am a huge Lana Del Rey fan, and she's the only one I'll pay, or travel to go see. And you guys and given me so much knowledge about what to expect at a concert. Thank you all so much for being patient with me, I appreciate each and every one of you that has taken time to explain things.

    Next for me: Australia!!!  :)

WOW! Congrats on raising your children and now doing things for yourself! Sounds like you deserved it. There is only one other person on here that I know of who is not under 30 years old like you [and me] so this is a rarity to find a LDR fan who is not under 30. Your situation sounds unique so who knows. They are correct - you will enter the VENUE before Silver. That part is true. But Silver will enter the PIT before you. Mainly because the VIP tickets you have don't have early entry to the pit and your Gold offers early entry to the venue, not the pit. I know it sounds confusing but trust me - I already went through all of this with them after 5 shows. Again, I have been going to concerts since 1984 and although I don't consider myself an expert or anything, I have been through enough situations to have learned.

As I said before, wait until you receive your email from VIP Nation and call your host to ask about this. You would rather get info early and not on the day of the show. Either way, you are gonna have the best time.

@@mjsmith033 Have fun and let us know all about your experience!!!!

  3. @@Blue Jeans I heard about it. It sounds awful. The earliest I have lined up for Lana was 3:30am so I feel your pain. It is a lot of work and planning to do it so I know all about it. It is fucked up what happened. I only heard about this happening in Phoenix. Had not heard it happened elsewhere. Its not in this thread but @franestrella recounted his experience and he had Gold VIP but was assigned pit because of the mix up. I know in this case, it worked in his favor and not yours. I think VIP Nation had to make an on-the-spot call to resolve this. The fault belongs to Ticketmaster for mixing up the packages. What a nightmare. Sorry this happened to you but I am happy you got to see her.

@@mjsmith033 's situation is different. She purchased a VIP pit ticket from the venue, not Live Nation. The venue offers perks that Live Nation doesn't but early entry into the pit or your seat is not one of them. Live Nation doesn't recognize the venue's VIP site meaning they don't offer anything to them unless they bought a VIP Nation package. That is why she bought a Gold for early entry. The problem I am seeing is that when they allow her early entry for Gold, she will get Gold incentives. If she shows them her VIP pit ticket, Live Nation won't recognize it. I went to 5 shows and again, Natalie [VIP Nation host] really holds down the fort. Gold and Silver receive different wristbands. They checked ID and tickets and wristbands at every turn. Silver was walked in a single file to the pit after being put in line in order by number. On my side, it was the most organized situation I have ever been in and I have been going to concerts since 1984. It was pretty amazing how organized it was.

  4. Thank you. and they have told me several different things and emailed me, there;s some confusion because they told me I would get to go to the pit before silver and I don't know if it's because I had vip pit to Dallas and it was postponed then on May 30th we were told it was cancelled and by that time the silver for Atlanta were sold out. So we got Gold and they said we could go to the pit before silver so idk???

The confusion is you get into the venue before Silver because of the party. As soon as they get all Gold in, they line up Silver. Once inside the venue, Gold has the party and Silver is walked to the pit. The agent surely got that confused. Both packages give early entry but Silver is strictly pit and they get into the pit first.

You should get your email from VIP Nation with instructions about 3 to 5 days before the show. The cell number of the host will be on there. Call her and ask to be sure.

  5. @@mjsmith033 This is intersting. I am going to explain this but don't take my word for it. When you get your email from VIP Nation, call your host (probably Natalie) and verify this. So, here goes.

Those VIP pit tickets are offered by someone else. Chances are its from the venue. Those VIP tickets you have will offer incentives that they offer, not VIP Nation. I think you know this but your VIP tickets are not the same as Silver VIP.

You also have a Gold package and that offers early entry with a seat. Yes, you will enter the venue before Silver but they will escort you to the party and merch table. You will stay in there for a while. While that is happening, Silver VIP people will have a different wristband that is numbered and will be lined up by number and actually walked over to the pit in a single file to the pit by Natalie and security. After that, Gold will be sent to their seats.

I know they told you that you will be allowed into the pit and you will - that part is true. However they will will not let you line up with Silver for early entry. You will need a Silver package for that. You will be allowed into the pit after Silver is let in because you don't have Silver VIP, you have regular VIP.

Again, don't take my word for it. Call your host. Who knows, maybe you can sneak by but if its Natalie, she doesn't play games. Anyhow, good luck. Either way, you are gonna have the best time. :)

  6. I though they did that to avoid scalpers. So, a scalper could buy 5 VIP Silver tix and resell them the price he wants, as long as he's there to show his ID/Credit card?

    .

That's how they avoid scalpers. If you buy two packages under one name, they know you are inviting a guest. If you guy 5 packages under one name, its suspicious. They will catch you.

  7. @@kik As long as the person who bought the tickets picks up the tickets with the person she sold it to. Did your friend have to give a name of the second person when she bought them? She should be fine.

  8. I had already bought VIP Pit tickets, well my friend and I did, for Atlanta on the 14th, then we decided we wanted early entry and I called Live Nation and she said we can enter with our Gold VIP package, then we can use our VIP Pit because we don't want assigned seats. She said it isn't a problem at all. How was your experience?

I am still confused. Both Gold and Silver have early entry. @@mjsmith033

  9. My friend and I already have VIP Pit tickets, but bought the Gold VIP Packages for early entry, plus the Silver is sold out, so Live Nation said we can still use our Pit tickets

The only VIP pit tickets sold were Silver VIP. If you didn't buy Silver, you don't have VIP pit tickets. If you bought regular pit tickets, you don't have early entry. Before entering the pit, they check for wristbands. So, if you enter early with Gold, you can only access your Gold seat. Its my understanding you won't be let into the pit until doors open for general public. You might be able to sneak through but so far, VIP Nation is pretty on top of it. Good luck!

  10. I'm going to the Atlanta concert June 14th, My friend and I already have VIP Pit tickets, but bought the Gold VIP Packages for early entry, plus the Silver is sold out, so Live Nation said we can still use our Pit tickets

We haven't been to a concert in years, except for the Dallas concert which didn't go as planned.

Can you give me any information on what to expect please?

Like, do we need to get there early? They said we will pick up the Gold VIP's at the venue.

What was included in the gift bag?

How soon do Gold enter the Lounge before Silver?

Do they let Gold enter the venue before Silver? (Like I said, we're still getting to use our Pit tickets even though we have assigned seats.) And if so, how soon?

If we have to use the restroom, will we be allowed back in our spots?

What was the preshow party like?

I apologize for so many questions...just really excited!!! And if you can think of anything I didn't ask, I appreciate any information.

    Thanks in advance

I'm confused. You have Silver and Gold VIP? If you are Gold, no need to camp out. You have seats. You will receive an email from VIP Nation with instructions on what to do and when to arrive. If you have Silver VIP, better camp out. Its been happening at every show. Gold early entry is for the party and crowd free shopping. Gold will not get to their seats before Silver. If you have regular pit tickets, you won't be let in to the venue till it opens for everyone. If you do early entry with Gold and try to use your regular pit tickets to get in, it won't work. Natalie your VIP host runs a tight ship. Gold has a different wristband than Silver. You wont get passed them. You will lose your spot in the pit if you leave. People will have camped out so you can bet that no one will let you back in. The pre show party is just food and music. Nothing big but its nice to have. The gift bag has a hankerchief, small poster, commemorative ticket and VIP lanyard. Honestly, the merch is cheaply made. I have seen her 5 times and had Gold and Silver and the Silver was worth it for the early entry alone. Have fun!!! :) @@mjsmith033

  11. @@buster I was front row *almost* center.  Even though Lana didn't quite make it over to where I was, it was still worth it because my view was spectacular.  The videos I took from my phone didn't do it justice. :)

Even if someone doesn't get a selfie with her, there is something beautiful about being front row and watching her sing these songs we love so much. I know she just stands there and its not a huge spectacle of a production but she doesn't need all of that. I love watching her do her thing @

  12. Thanks for the advice! I made it with dried flowers and it's super fragile so I'm just worried about it getting to her intact haha

Well, that might be an issue. Aside from waiting all day long, once you are in the pit, people like to push and try to make their way to the front. Be mindful of that.

  13. I agree with everything @ said.

One more thing, front is not always the best. If you are too far to the right or too far to the left, it's not worth it. Second row center is WAY better - mainly for the view and you still get a great chance when she comes down. On one side are the side stairs and depending on the space she says, she may not go passed those stairs. On the other side is a camera man and a big camera set up, she rarely goes passed that. Front row CENTER is what you are looking for. Off to the right or left a little is fine too. When you get to the pit, if the only front row spots open are too far left or right, my advice is to shoot for second row center. It will be more enjoyable. Just a thought! Good luck and have fun.

  14. Hey guys, sorry if this has been posted before but I hadn't found anything on this topic. I'm making something for Lana that I want to somehow get to her during her show in Atlantic city this weekend. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I've got silver vip package so I'm going to do my best to get up front and center to the barricade. I've seen pictures of people throwing things up on stage but obviously the best scenario would be to hand it to her when she comes down to greet the fans. My only concern is security. Has anyone experienced any difficulty with this? I'm not sure of the check in procedure that live nation uses. My worst fear is some security guy snatching it up and it never getting to her. Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I have seen her live 5 times and at each show, people who had gifts for her who were in the front row were able to give them to her. Of course, depending on where you are will determine whether she comes to you or not. Good luck. The earlier you get there, the better. It was be a war zone but it will be worth it.

  15. I wonder why she can't reschedule the date? Maybe she's too busy planning Honeymoon promo (here's hoping!)

Not only is her schedule taken into consideration but the schedule of the venue as well. Other acts are scheduled to perform on certain days. And I am sure there are other logistics we don't know about.

  16. ive seen people complaining she cancelled because the storm "hit 9 hours later"? this is such fucking bullshit tbh, it was a FUCKING TORNADO so she has every right to cancel...smh

And it wasn't even her call or Live Nation's call. It was the venue's responsibility to make that call. If there is lightening detected within 8 miles of an outdoor venue, a delay is implemented [which there was]. If there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning [which there was] and the weather is about to change, the venue has to evacuate. There were almost 20,000 people there. The venue is not going to take any chances. There isn't anything Lana or her people or Live Nation could have done to change this. And Dallas did get hit hard with bad weather. Yes, hours later but imagine having to evacuate a venue with 20,000 other people. It's time consuming. I understand people's pain - trust me - I was there. But people were posting horrible things about her when this happened. They were being unrealistic about the whole situation.

  17. thanks for keeping us up to date @@buster

@@slayLANAslay You're very welcome. I have been waiting for the rescheduled date but this happened today. I was out there waiting in line since 5:30am with everyone. Had a Silver VIP package for this show too so I feel the disappointment. This would have been my 5th time seeing her so I consider myself fortunate to be honest. My heart is broken for the people who waited in line with me and many who camped out over night. Especially if this was their first time seeing Lana. But we will stay positive. New album in September and I imagine there will be a tour to support it.

  18. She received a lot hateful criticism for that night and I don't understand as it was beyond her control. She has an album coming out in September so I imagine she will tour to support that record.

  19. Ticketmaster has updated their page from "Postponed" to "Canceled" today. The show is officially canceled. Some people said they received an email from Gexa saying it was postponed until May 9, 2016. I can't confirm but I think that's fake given that it is the exact same date as the show from this year. Plus, it wouldn't have been announced as "canceled" with automatic refunds on Ticketmaster if it was still postponed.

  20. Thanks, the only issue is that with my venue, it is surrounded by farmland, so there are no places to park besides the venue's own parking lot. I think what I might have to do is go up ahead of time and look for anything close by like a grocery store, or get dropped off

You run the risk of getting towed parking at another place a,l day. Getting dropped off might be better but make sure you have plenty of water and food. It will be a LONG day. Good luck and have fun.
