  1. @ Presale was a nightmare but something happened to me that had never happened before when buying tickets. I tried presale and nothing. The system crashed and when I tried again, nothing. I gave up on presale and told myself I was gonna focus on regular sale. I read a comment on someone's IG that someone had tried the night of presale and got VIP. I didn't believe it but I tried at 9:30 on the last day of presale and I got Silver VIP. Exactly what I wanted.  [Presale ended at 10pm]. I was shocked. I had no clue they released more tickets during presale. I knew they did it during regular sale.

I have seen her three times and met her twice. I am hoping for a good spot in the front to meet her again. Would love to get my box set UV signed. I saw her in Dallas and New Orleans and she wasn't meeting fans after the show. Only during. I know she did do it in some other places. Who knows if she will even come down to the front row again like she did on the last tour. We can only hope.

  2. The crowds are ridiculous. I expect it to be crazier at a large concert, however the whole thing isn't GA this time so who knows what will change.

I actually think the opposite. I think there were will be more crowd control because the pit is a small area. It is easier to manager and watch closely. The security at The Woodlands venue for the Houston show will get you out of the pit so fast if you are pushing. I saw No Doubt and NIN there and trust me - smaller GA areas in larger venues will have more crowd control. The places she was playing before were smaller. But the bottomline is every place is different.

  3. @ The hate for Lorde by Lana fans is common. It's silly to me - I wish people could love the artists they love and leave the rest alone. I have never understood the need to verbally kick the shit out of an artist I wasn't a fan of. It happens in all genres - Madonna vs. Lady Gaga, Azealia Banks vs. Iggy Azalea, Whitney vs. Mariah - putting women up against each other is such a sexist thing. I don't get it so I don't subscribe to it.

Heard Video Games in 2011 and I thought it was good but I didn't take to her right away. I saw Lana on SNL in January of 2012 and fell in love. Far from a perfect vocal performance, I felt the underdog in her. Been a fan ever since.

  4. @ @@SouthInGuy I will be 43 in April. Ha ha! You know, when she first came out and I went to my first show, I understood her demographic. I can't explain her appeal. I mean, her demographic appears to be 14 to 17 year old girls. I know that is a generalization but that seems to be the larger part of her demographic. I questioned what I felt in her music that young teenagers felt. For me, she is an old soul. Also, her work gets me in a retrospective area. I stopped questioning it because my admiration for her work is deep and real. Three concerts later, I am ready to see her again. Nice to see other guys my age.

@@kik Not a pissing contest - just a comment on the reality that we are few and far between in Lana's world.

I went onto Google Maps and my venue close up, and my venue's pit is pretty big. I estimate that it can hold about 80 people shoulder to shoulder for up to 20 or 30 human rows. I will definitely call my concert's venue for more specifics.

Nonetheless, I am going to have unnecessary anxiety knowing that the fans who were able to get this package will have the freedom of guaranteed absolute close ups of Lana/Courtney AND POSSIBLY that infamous meet & greet time with Lana during the show.

Are you shading me? Because to be honest, I am merely repeating the opinion of what other users say about people at her shows. A fan is indeed a fan and I personally find the whole concept of entitlement wrong. But at the same time, I'm not sure if the management organized this in the most ideal way. I'm not on this website just to be holier-than-thou to fans who may seem to appear that way. The pit is sold out at my show, by the way.

The main regret I have is simply not being able to see Lana when she was less world-famous. Because of my age (which may make me come across as "entitled",)personal situations, or because of my parents not letting me travel to Hollywood, I have failed to get tickets for EIGHT Lana shows already since June 2012. I am very happy for all the fans who have had the opportunity to meet Lana once or multiple times, and give her fan gifts and take selfies and all of that. Not having this privilege to secure a close enough spot with certainty makes me and will continue to make me feel like such shit if I'm unable to express my thanks for her if . My Dad and I have been saving up money since June 2012 for this opportunity, and I will of course enjoy the show when the night finally comes. But I am really being hard on myself for being kinda outta luck during the presale.

@WestCoastLanatic I am absolutely not shading you. Sorry if it came across that way. I did say it was presumptuous and sad that any one of us label fans one way or another so I was including myself. It is a general statement about anyone and about any fan of any artist. Anytime we think we are superior to other fans because they started to like Lana after she got popular or only know her singles or still dress in flower crowns like she used to - anytime we do this, we disconnect from the real purpose of being a fan - THE MUSIC. For me, I tell myself "Who cares that they started liking Lana when she got popular - at least her fan base is growing. Who cares girls still wear flower crowns or only know her singles? At least they are honoring her in their way. I try to care less about other people and their relationship to Lana and try to focus on why I love her so much.

I feel your pain. I know what it is like to miss out on the tickets I really wanted for a show. I have been there too many times and it sucks!!! I feel you. The good news is that you are going to see LANA! The other good news is that you have a dad who will take you to show and help save money for it. That is one cool dad!!!

  6. Last show i got there at 8:30, just made the front. Doors opened at 7 and they brought us to a room but we didn't get into the stage till 7:30. i was 30th in line.

For this tour I did buy the VIP package. I think only more dedicated fans are doing so.

It's a lot of money for many people so you have to REALLY want to be there to drop it.

  7. •Has anyone here ever entered a concert early?

    Yes.

•How many hours did you wait before your concert?

    2-3 hours

•How many hours earlier did you get to enter before your concert started? (For any artist) one hour before doors open but varis depending on artist and company (Live Nation)

•If my venue's pit holds 500-1000 people, does anyone have any idea how many people can fit into the first row?

Depends on size of the stage

OR how many VIP packages have been sold by live nation?

Almost no way to know this for sure

•With the amount of seats for these new shows, and the addition of the more hardcore grungy controversial Courtney Love for these shows, do you think that those that bought silver VIP packages will be older fans/ less aggressive/ more dedicated Lana fans? OR do you think that there will be more stereotypical rich girl flower crown wearing Tumblr girls with the VIP packages?

I think its presumptious and sad that any one of us think we are entitled to label a fan "more dedicated" or "stereotypical rich girl flower wearing Tumblr girls." A fan is a fan and if you got a ticket, you should be able to enjoy it like everyone else.

•And finally, to everyone with the package (MANY here on lanaboards), I am assuming you will all be holding the hell onto that barricade, unless you get drinks/merch/ go to the bathroom beforehand on the venue?

Of course. I have seen Lana three times, two times in the front row, got to meet her, hug and a kiss, autograph, etc. For both shows, I got there before 8am and waitd in line all day. Anyone who did that is gonna hold their ground to keep their spot.

I'm asking all these questions because in my personal opinion, (call me entitled or not,) despite the chaos of the last tour shows, I find it a bit unfair that this is the only VIP package that guarantees early entry. (NOTE: all VIP packages offered early entry however the other packages were seats.)

But more so, the people who are able to pay more regardless of their love for Lana, are much more likely to meet Lana & Courtney if they interact with front rows, then people who would otherwise wait all day and hope for the best (which is what I will be doing anyways.)

NOTE: There is no guarantee she will come down and greet the front row again. This is a bigger tour and more managed. It very well might be that she doesn't do it anymore at the request of her management. Just a thought.

  8. J.auston, I got the Silver package at $250 and I was on,y charged an ordering processing fee of $6.55 and that was it. I was surprised because they usually add all these crazy fees. But since the packages are so expnsive, maybe they scaled it back. I know this isnt about the Gold package but I hope this helps a little.

  9. Are they selling tickets? Yes. Do they have the ickets? No. They do this for every show for every artist. Hey anticipate the tickets they will receive and start "selling" tickets early to confuse people. Notice that you will not see row or seat numbers for any of them. Only sections. When they get the real tickets, the information changes with that info. Stubhub should always be our last resort.

  10. @@DrunkBeautyQueen only if you buy the "silver package" from live nation. Gold gives you first row in the seats behind GA PIT. bronze gives you first ten row seats behind GA PIT. I know this is really sophisticated but I know they're trying to avoid the chaos of all the general admission shows back on the earlier tour this year. I need to experience that pit too

Actually, Gold gets you first 12 rows behind the GA pit. Silver is GA IN FRONT of the rows. Bronze is rows 13-20 rows.

  11. I'm curious to know if anyone here ever called the cemetery to ask any questions regarding the show or otherwise? A few hours before the show on Friday I went into the office wondering how I could visit my relatives who are buried there and got the rudest brush off from the bitch behind the counter.

She was probably a bitch to you because hundreds of well known celebrities are buried there. Altbough its possible you could have a relative there, the employed bitch probably assumed you were joking or just tying to get in early prior to the show. Its not a good reason to be rude but she probably had you pegged.

  12. Bnewall1 - love your passion for Lana but saving a spot in line is not great concert etiquette. Depending on whether or not they let people in earlier, some people will have been there since the night before or early morning. Its not fair to make room for someone in front of the line for someone who is not "on-board." I have seen Lana 5 times and was front row for each one. That took travel time, packing nourishment, and above all else, getting there at 7am to secure my spot. There is a level of dedication that goes into securing that spot and if I am in that line, you can bet I will not allow making room for someone who is not "on-board."I've addressed it before and it was handled. Not trying to be a jerk - just want to be fair.

  13. My show is this Friday and I have a question that AIW didn't really answer properly. Hopefully one of you can if you had a similar situation.

I bought the tickets using a credit card that isn't under my name. I emailed them and gave them my name. With proper ID do I still need the credit card used, or no? Should I bring it with just in case?

I only needed to provide my ID for both shows I attended. Don't tink you will need the card but take it just case. The will call window is managed by the venue, not AIW - each venue may have different rules. Not sure about the different name on the card though.
