I think it's because she was such a hot commodity for a while. the designer in question was jason altuzarra, who is up and coming.. so maybe it's not money for her to wear a dress but for the appearance? who knows but I wouldn't doubt it

someone told me that lana and her ppl actually charge designers to wear their stuff.. I wonder about the veracity of that but he's into fashion so I thought it was interesting. i know that after she got famous she got style people

so i finally watched perks and while i was ready 2 rme at it, i thought it was really, really good. ezra made the film obviously. some of the things they said were really cheesy but it was so well done.

Everyone I've talked to who has seen one of her live shows has said that she didn't seem 'all there' .. it wouldn't surprise me if she was using during her summer tour and maybe that's what Gods + Monsters was about. (BTW I think Bradley is the Monster) We'll never know completely unless she decides to tell us, which- considering she's playing the sober card- won't be any time soon.

I wonder if lana's parents were paying for her career & living but she wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend and had to focus on her career if she wasn't in school. then when they found out they took a lot of it away and maybe that's why she lived in a trailer

I know. And whether someone does it for accolades or just out of the kindness of their heart, either way they are giving back so it doesn't matter but it was just a thought. I do think she did it out of court mandated the kindness of her heart (although one cannot deny that it is not necessarily a 'selfless' act- volunteering, that is- you can gain self-worth, purpose, and sometimes a negative 'holier than thou' attitude, etc.)
