im so confused as to why he and pitchfork haven't reviewed it (especially p4k since they reviewed nbl and hsb and loved gold satin dreamer)

I'm sure you have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to a Nicole Dollanganger album, much less to review one.

I bought it and haven't been able to listen yet

Hopefully she figures out how to serve again!

give us an anti-capitalist album with songs abt ur scumbag emerald mining ex !

I mean, I wish! but it's understandable if she needs to remain on good terms with the father of her children.  I want that for her too :/

yeah, this might be it; i mean, not liking oversexualised art, stuff like this disgusting WAP, half-naked performances, twerking, sex-imitating dances, singing or rapping about basically getting fucked etc. Not me thing i guess, but I respect everyone's likes and preferences. It wasn't supposed to aim at ANY PARTICULAR artist (but there's a lot of them doing the abovementioned stuff), but actually the brought by you miss Stallion would (possibly?) be one of such artists? I guess? idk her background, and i don't feel like i need to in order to decide whether i like her stage persona/art direction or not. I'm only here criticising such artistic choices, not who these people are behind the stage, so if she was shot, attended medical school or whatever doesn't change my views on this sort of art direction.

I get what you're saying, and I agree. After a point, hypersexualized art is not my thing either. I don't let the visuals prevent me from liking the music, but it doesn't add value for me either.

It's the artists' choice what to create and how, and it's our choice whether we enjoy it enough to listen or watch.

just realized this was genuinely unpopular during a convo with @weinendersoldat

    i really enjoy remixes :bebe:
sometimes more than the original song
though i generally prefer remixes of songs that were already in the pop / new wave / electro territory rather than remixes of more indie or orchestral stuff

Sometimes I enjoy hearing a new take too. If there's something irritating about the original version, sometimes the remix fixes it :D

    Interesting! (And definitely unpopular).

Can I ask what made the list?

I'm still trying to narrow it down, but in no particular order...

    Achtung Baby - U2

    Ten - Pearl Jam

Blood Sugar Sex Magik - RHCP

    Voodoo Highway - Badlands

    Girlfriend - Matthew Sweet

    Psychotic Supper - Tesla

No More Tears - Ozzy Osbourne

    Cerulean - The Ocean Blue

    Chagall Guevara - Chagall Guevara

Pocket Full of Kryptonite - Spin Doctors

    Union - Yes

1991 was just an amazing year for albums that are good start to finish.

i just wish i was able to actually see it

I had the same experience :(  The (taller) people in front of us kept backing up into us. I was like look, I don't have anywhere to go. I didn't want to back up into the people behind us.

I've been going to concerts for years, but I'm used to being in the front and getting crushed from behind. I literally have no experience being content to hang out in the middle and going with the flow, while the flow is trying to crowd me from the front! :smh:
