I just feel like, for some reason, sooner or later Queen Charles is going to release everything... obviously there have been limitations set by the label. But she knows what her fans want. Like, she knows... It's why she always plays these little PC music bangers at small shows... Maybe she goes independent and just drops stuff constantly, all within her full control, or maybe Vroom Vroom Records will be utilized further in the future like she told that fan recently... and if it's truly a matter of her just moving on from certain ideas, she maybe shouldn't doubt herself or her creations so much, because obviously a lot of fans appreciate her work. Idk, all of this fan outcry ultimately stems from simply enjoying the music she's created, and yes, it's frustrating... Yes, some fans cross the line and take it too far maybe, but people just want to hear her music and support her at the end of the day, and Atlantic has really made that difficult because you can't purchase or stream what physically isn't put to market. It's relatively inexpensive to upload a few tracks to digital music store like iTunes, or streaming sites... with an artist like Charli, they'd make that money back in a matter of minutes. The question is how much the costs of having *X* producer(s) onboard/general production and studio time plays into everything but ehh, a few hundred thousand streams later and a few thousand digital purchases on iTunes? Man... you're profiting. You're not even pressing or shipping CD's anymore, this day and age... But instead, these labels are like, dumping millions into pushing the top trending artists... over-the-top video production and effects... Idk it's ridiculous. I just don't see how physically releasing a few songs on the regular is such a huge problem. Charli could be a money making machine with her hooks and how quickly she works... and that's the TEA... lol

Did someone say Round and Round is coming?? :flutter:
-
It'd smash 'cause good music isn't defined by time... good music transcends time! A banger is a banger...
-
Did Charles release anything today or was it just the POP2 ticket giveaway or whatever?
-
New exclusive music! Taxi! Bounce! Round and Round! ...I wish it were true lol
-
I bet Dance All Night will come out in one of these monthly drops too...
-
"Hey rookie, you're lookin, a little bit shaky in the saddle!" :defeated: Ughh, my queen...
-
Why does Charli not catch on with the GP? She is the best... :/

Granted, I'm in a very small minority... but at this point, I would legit pay like $100 for an XCX3 deluxe album with all the known leaked/scrapped/delayed/b-side material from this era... why do you not want my money Atlantic? I mean, yeah stuff leaked, but that doesn't mean people won't buy an official release that features or consists of these tracks either. The leaks got out to a relatively small number of people. anyway... Idk man...

Prob a misunderstanding of some kind. I have trouble believing they'd have beef... That is unfortunate though.
-
I wish Charli could like, upload a hype RnR snippet on IG and get like a million+ likes just to show Atlantic what's up...
-
Roll With Me! Yes... exactly the same thing... sonically the same! All the songs are great.... so why was that good enough, but these other songs weren't? That's a perfect example.

This is what I don't get... right here... If Focus *were* to be released as a single... what even consistutes it as a single in the first place? Why not GNO? No Angel? etc.? Why not Round and Round? ...which is way more bombastic, dynamic, and high energy if you ask me. That's not to discredit Focus at all either, it just isn't so much of a loud banger you could let loose to. My point is, these are all tracks of the SAME exact coin, sonically... what makes one fit for release and not others? I just don't get it man... lol

I read Charli's response in that tweet like she still had planned releases through it though, like for herself...
-
A friendly reminder to all that THIS happened... there is still hope... :defeated:
-
I need it so bad. What a sadistic way to build hype lol
-
Round and Round exists!!!! May I please give you my money Charles?
-
Idk, those vocals def kinda sound studio... plus it's a slower tempo, not SOPHIE's faster live tempo (which happens to sound better IMO...).
-
Her XCX World blog... why is Charli so f'kn cute??
-
Much of POP2 is basically True Romance 2.0... like 50-60%.

This is what I don't get though... like why wouldn't Atlantic see it as another opportunity to make their cut of streaming and distribution sales revenue on another released song that we all KNOW exists? Like it's done, it's recorded... people love it and want to buy it... It's another $1.29 sale on iTunes per download till like, the end of time lol. Like WHY are they not using some of these fan-favorite unreleased tracks to help further not only themselves but the "XCX" name and brand as well? There's a lot I don't know about the music industry, but from a basic business-transaction stand-point, that just makes too much sense to me! I mean all these big labels are trying to find ways to make money in an industry that is "hurting so bad" in the internet/information age, and they won't even sell the music? Like, come on guys. lmao. But again, there's a lot I don't know I guess...
-
Right yeah, just as something for the fans... but I'm sure there's a bunch of industry politics involved where someone doesn't get their part of the deal fulfilled with something like that, or something... like I don't see much else of an explanation really. But like, why else would they make it so hard to just upload a song or two (or however many) to streaming/distribution services? lol

Remembering that post she had a while back (not sure if this was prior to POP2), mentioning that "so much" music was coming... I wouldn't exactly consider a few monthly single releases to be a "ton" of music... and we're already halfway through 2018. Hopefully there IS an album or couple mixtapes/EP's thrown in along the way, or to wrap up the release plan. Ughh, I hope this all works out for her... If Atlantic would just trust her vision and put the music first... rather than their big label business practices... I mean, that's exactly what fans are upset about when you get right down to the bottom of it. The label wants "bombastic" chart-topping (if more "safe," basic, and/or formulaic) pop songs and a huge, multi-Platinum album as a result, and Charli wants to put something out that is legitimately unique, forward-thinking, creative, and that (with the proper backing) shakes up the definition of pop. Just ranting now... but it really kinda bothers me that legitimately creative, even progressive forms of music get lumped into this strange, more "niche," alternative territory, where big labels won't even willingly back it... And as a result, people will continue to bash the state of modern pop music. Only the label can ultimately decide to push newer, grander ideas... especially when they're the ones with the money and are only selectively backing artists under their own terms. Really, it's super cool that Charli has stood up to it and has found workarounds, and ways to retain her creative control, so that she CAN put the stuff out there that she's passionate about. And that's the thing... you can really see it in how she performs at her smaller gigs, like her mixtape shows or at FORM, and in how dynamic and high-energy those songs can be. You never hear stuff like that on pop radio, and that plays into the broader issue here...

I need her to drop a bangin' studio version of Round and Round... :defeated:
