I've seen this happen before... the distributor uploaded a full album a month before release and forgot to set things to private for the first few hours or something... whole album leaked a month early lol whoops

Yeah I can be open to a new bridge/breakdown but like the sounds and production of the current No Angel was great. A "demos, odds, and ends" type of release would be so cool, especially if there are different versions of these songs floating around... "XCX3: The Sophie Sessions" or something. Alternate versions and demos. Especially if they're going to be teased and performed one way for so long and then just changed for the final... like fans get attached to songs before they release, that's half of the issue with this entire era. Fans want to hear the real studio versions of what they know. There's nothing saying that songs can't have multiple versions either. That's kinda the whole point of remixes and bonus tracks/demo releases in deluxe albums or side/EP releases. When so much work has been done, I personally don't see why you, as a label or artist, wouldn't want to release as much material as you could.

I wish this era wasn't such a mess... ugh, but at least things are happening.

Nooo the sound of the current production is perfect in No Angel tho!! No reason to change it...

I started with Sucker tbh, then True Romance... but that was pre-Vroom Vroom days even. Now I can't stop listening to POP2. It really does standout in its own right. She's pretty consistent though with all of her releases so I can pretty much listen to anything from any era and enjoy it. For raw pop I'd say Sucker or Number 1 Angel, for anything a little more experimental, True Romance or POP2, and then the really far, left-field Vroom Vroom.

The million dollar question... :/ ...because "good, successful" pop music has to be calculated and formulated for the masses and can't try new things...

"It leaked, therefore it can't be released," isn't really even a good justification of shelving a song (or songs) anyway. Idk if that's a label-level decision or what, but it doesn't make sense... Leaks (like this especially) get out to such a small/particular audience, many of which would buy the material if it were ever released (officially, in the first place) anyway, so it really isn't much of a problem all things considered IMO... They way I see it, it's literally only a problem because it's being made into a problem. People aren't NOT going to buy or stream Taxi, GNO, No Angel, Bounce, RNR, etc. etc. because there's versions out there floating around and fan remixes/remakes... If an official mixtape/album is put out and promoted, it's going to do well, end of story. I really think the label just, simply put, doesn't want to promote this material... because if they did, it would've been out literally years ago now. :/
