  1. For no reason? Sweetie, sit down. This thread is public, so basically anyone can read all this mess. Also, these countless discussions about unimportant things are annoying. Don't even try to make it look like negativity out of nowhere

they had meltdowns for like 100 pages threatening to kill themselves and motivated others to attack lana's manager as if he can release her album on it's own. THE LACK OF SELF-AWARENESS!

  2. Just because you get a lot of likes doesn't mean people like you. I sometimes like your posts but i despise you as a person. :)

I figured you do rather often as of lately which I found strange since you promised us all to kill yourself and bookmark you if LFL would not come out last week while having endless meltodwns.

Just out of curiosity: what stopped you?

  3. shut up :defeated: everyone hates you

oh no, you fuckin inbred, they don't. just look at how many likes my posts get, especially the few days ago when i mopped the floor with your flawed opinion.

even if, i am still here and you all will have to deal with my superior opinion until i decide otherwise.

anyways, let us move on with the programm

  4. the short vagueness of the verses that give hints rather than structure, a sense of brokenness (literally) within the song both good and bad, the deep, heavy, and gritty vocals/instrumentals, overall it's darker, not as cinematic as Love or LfL and it doesn't sound dreamy and smokey like the entirety of HM did; and there's no relation to Btd/Para, It sounds and feels like a UV outtake; like PWYC, SG, CW; with the lyricism of Old Money.

all of this is literally wrong :rip:

if anything, it sounds like some sort of body electric with trap beats

  5. Hmm...

Y'all are getting mad at Lana over cancelling an event her and her team never even knew about or agreed to?

    Yikes.

it is such a mess. how could this even happen? how can her management not even know that a channel announced a date she never agreed to do? i mean, it was all over the internet

Weren't they recording something similar in some backyard around the time Love was being released? Can't find the pic now

    EDIT: There it is

    16864696_1308812435832616_48772381804513

i do not see her band members.

she really hates rehearsals, doesn't she?

  6. what i don't understand.

lana knows she is not the greatest live performer of all time. and chuck can hold a camera, can't she?

since we have 18 tracks on the album and we have heard 3 or maybe 4, why doesn't she simply make a mini concert filmed by chuck in an intimate setting and uploads it on her vevo?

she could play, let's say 6 songs off the new album with her band and it would get her more attention than any live gigs for small radio statios or gigs in scandinavia or poland.

and this is something chuck can not screw up.

minimal production, lots of views, great build up for an album that already feels dead on arrival!

    make it happen, ben!

  7. Y'all are expecting her to perform songs that she clearly wants nothing to do with because of their association with her exes and...

    it's not gonna happen.

I feel like if she could, she'd just erase Ultraviolence from her discography the way she did AKA.

well, looks like she ain't too interested in singing the new material either.

  8. she has to come up with something really good in june to at least have somewhat of a momentum for the album, cause lana gurl, this album will be dead on arrival!

and they have to release a better track in june than cherry. cherry is basically lana by numbers. not bad, not great either. or give us simply two other songs before the release and make the best out of the wait.

she is really doing anything she can for an album release to be as anticlimatic as it gets.

    SETP YOUR GAME UP, HOE!

  9. You're probably right, about the first part.

About them wanting her to suffer, I don't think they've thought it that far ahead. I think they want her to be happy, but still sing sad songs.

I feel like if people paid more attention to her previous work, they'd be able to tell we're not getting the same lyrical content as past albums again. (Like, she never revisited her May Jailer-era even when it would have benefited her)

Well, I think that they suffer or want suffer or are simply insufferable for the sake of being so, depends on the individual, I guess.

It wasn't like that in the very beginning. This fanbase has attracted some very fragile ppl over the years.  And I agree, they most likely have not processed for themselves that in order to sing about the damage that has been done to you, you have to be in a place that most likely is not healthy. While great music can sometimes come from a place or depression and sadness, it doesn't have to be like that.

And the problem when you are in your 30's and a big chunk of your fanbase is half of your age, is that when you change as an artist and person, your listeners mostly won't. And they do not care that being depressed, anxious or tortured is not good for you. They want you to feed them.

  10. Funny tho because I'm one of the only legitimate industry insiders :) But that's none of my business.

and out of all places, you have chosen a LDR forum to say that in the Lorde thread. What a waste of time and information.

  11. I think it's possible to want an Ultraviolence-style album without wanting a remake of Ultraviolence or even an album with the lyrical themes of Ultraviolence.

I don't know about anyone else, but when I say I want another Ultraviolence, I mean I want Lana to work with other producers who will push her the way Dan Auerbach pushed her. Not ones who will give in to her every creative whim.

If she made a completely upbeat album, but with a producer who could wring every single ounce of talent she had out of her and put it into that album, that would be an Ultraviolence 2.0, to me.

Basically, an Ultraviolence followup to me is less about the content or sound of the album and more about the production that goes into it.

that's how you see it, but quite frankly I think when most ppl scream out about wanting another UV is they clearly want that lyrical content.

If anything it is pretty clear that Lana has a pretty big following that seems rather fragile to put it mildly. There is a very vocal part of her fanbase that literally wants to suffer and for her to sing them about it. But what if she has no desire to do so?

You can't tell sad people to be happy just because a singer they listen to is happy :lmao: that's not how any of this works

People can criticise this new wave of happiness if it means she's producing songs they no longer relate to - it doesn't mean they want her to remain depressed. Fans don't always have to move with the artist, there should be no compulsion to enjoy a song. You either like it or you don't

Well, it is quite obvious that when you are depressed, you most likely will not enjoy an album called Lust For Life. I mean, she couldn't have made it any more obvious, guys.
